This isn't terrible but may be hard to recommend. I do enjoy these types of movies and have said before just an actor in a room carrying the whole thing is a genre that is cool. That's mostly what this is. There are a few other "podcast" and found audio movies that are similar. Monolith is the 1st thing that comes to mind. Enjoyed it also.

My initial reaction to this thread was nope not watching a movie about some annoying broad and her fucking podcast, but then I saw the trailer and now I might want to watch this.

Passed on it. Heard good things-- it had strong reactions from people who saw it in theaters at the time. But it's not for me. Feedback on FOH would need to be overwhelming to get me to give a movie with this setting a chance, and that's not going to happen.

Haven’t seen it… but going out on a thick, huge limb here and predict it’s Infinitely better than The War of the Worlds podcast shit with Ice Cube.

This is atmospherically great. Psychological/Epistemic horror has really been going down the route of expert camera work lately, and this sits near the top of that vein. It seems like it's going to be a slow burn, but the sound and visuals do a ton of legwork, really digging into a very subconscious level of anxiety and tension. It leads you just enough to make you question whether something happened, but treats the audience as intelligent, so it never completely wraps everything up for you.

The story is pretty basic for modern horror, but the filmmaking is where it really shines. I'm not upset about watching it and have rewatched it to catch some additional details, so I'm calling it a good horror film.

I agree with this. The sounds combined with the slow creepy panning shots did a great job messing with your anxiety. There were also very subtle things that my wife or I noticed but the other didn’t and we would rewind to see what was going on. I was very impressed they were able to keep our attention the whole time with such a tiny cast and setting.

Anyone planning to watch this I’d suggest making sure you’re watching somewhere with decent audio, it was a big part of the creepiness, using disturbing noises.

Do recommend.
