That's what made him awesome! I had three phases of who I was as a kid in the 80s. I was Luke Skywalker first, then Indiana Jones, and then I was James Bond.

Bond reruns on cable were a part of my childhood too and I played Goldeneye every day for around a year with friends, but I still haven't seen the last two movies. Shits been dead for over a decade.

On the other hand, with a less than ten percent chance this one gets glowing reviews, I might watch it if enough people around here say it was decent... eventually.

They went with the worst of the 4 picks in a hold-my-beer I got the shittiest Bond contest.

Classic Amazon.

This is the same company that had an executive say at a meeting that Bond isn't heroic and is unmarketable at present because he is perceived as a villain in current 2026. So this doesn't surprise me they wanted a dork watered down "safe" goofy everyman Bond, given those comments.

Now we know why Amazon had to buy more rights to acquire full creative control.
