Post Midlands I'm not overly impressed. I hope the devs look at the general qol that mods provide and try out some new features. I wonder if they're too committed to the Viking lore to expand into certain things.

I'd love to be able to build ships I can sleep and craft in. Also the teleporters are aids after awhile and just shit up your base.

Qol dammit

Having a hard time trying to hard transition to magic, find myself falling back on shield and frostner. Anyone else have this problem, or did something in particular push you over the hump? I'm just better playing magic as support rather than solo it feels like. Still using padded pants but using the first magic set helm and chest, replacing a padded helm and the pierce resist chest. Eating a couple eitr foods and a health (a chicken dish from the stove). Otherwise when I go back to frostner and shield i just eat plains / sailor and one other feast.

I still used melee a fair bit at first as magic depletes really quickly early on, that said for the boss I relied heavily on magic cause meleeing the boss sucks ass. Once I got to Ashlands I started using magic more because everything fucks you up in melee without a proper melee build anyway, and also the Ashlands spells are quite strong once you can get them. But I was going for a caster build to begin with, if you don't care it's fine to just use stuff like the shield and summons and do an hybrid build.

Staff of the Wild is a beast. You can easily solo some really nasty mobs no pro with it.

I just crafted the lightning staff in Deep North and that thing just melts faces. Feels insanely op.

Buddy and I attempted the queen for the first time last night pretty much blind - wasn't a good idea at 1am. After an hour or so of whittling her down (maybe to 70%?) and getting the mechanics down we called it and are going to come back next week probably. Going to setup some stuff outside her lair to make repairs and corpse runs easier.

Took a break from Wrath of the righteous to play a new run a bit.

I have some complaints already.

1. jump height/walking up slopes. I don't remember it being this bad. I don't know if its just new terrain gen or what. new spawn/gen was on a fairly small island with a bunch of rivers through it. the slopes to the rivers were un climbable. so just a giant pita.

2. no track animal skill.

3. feel like I am having way more stam issues, and getting stuck on objects/slopes way more then I used to.

4. hoe/building roads was never fine tuned to be more effective/smoother.

5. lack of pulling mats from chests is rough... I feel like the "pile of x" items should be used for this. pile of logs.. 500 cap. logs placed in their are pulled from when building. you could leave chests locked, and just make those pile of x's for this..
