I'm so confused..... you "grew up on WC" but you are baffled by humans fighting against orcs (the entire fucking premise of the entire series)? I must have missed Warcraft 0 where the orcs just exterminated the human race with no contention and all the other games were just a dream as the last human got squashed mercilessly under the invincible orc boots.Grew up on WC, in all it's forms. But, as far as a movie is concerned, it still irks me that a human would stand even the slightest chance in a fight against an Orc and for the common person (IE, not a WC fan) it would make even less sense.
What a shock. Everyone in the world has common sense and can understand simple concepts, except ZombieRetardedPants.i think he just means one on one. in wc1, units were pretty interchangeable, but by wc3 it was clear that a footman vs a grunt would end in the grunt's favor. and also, while i'm cautiously optimistic about the movie, the hulking mass of the orcs just make the humans look so scrawny that it's hard to envision humans having any real chance in a fight.
Yes, you're wasting your time. As with pretty much every fantasy movie, suspension of disbelief will be required for this one. What a shock. Everyone in the world has common sense and can understand simple concepts, except ZombieRetardedPants.
Yes, in the "game" they had to balance the units. In this "movie" when you see a 6 foot tall 180 pound man fight a 7 foot tall, 300 pound Orc, it won't make a whole lot of sense to the common movie-goer. We, as WC fans, get that. But, if they want to appeal to the masses....
I'm probably wasting my time trying to explain it, aren't I?
Legolas was an archer, and the melee parts he was doing some agile twirly shit around and not actually taking the hits but more dodging them. The elves that did fight in melee were like fully armored with the large elven shields and in roman formation to soften the impact from the charge and shit.Yes, you're wasting your time. As with pretty much every fantasy movie, suspension of disbelief will be required for this one.
Also, in LOTR, we saw a 6 foot something, 100 pound Elf destroy veritable legions of larger/stronger Uruk-hai while sliding on a shield. Enough said.

That would be a favor to humanity. They're planning to show the public execution of Metzen during the opening credits?
