Meh we have lots of old models to paint for now. we just want to paint. I think the contrast paints will be perfect for him too. Wraithbone spray paint and blood angel red contrast good way to get this show on the road.

It's only half glued together and missing a few details like tilting plates, but here is my Ultramarines Bladeguard Veteran Sergeant:
The white parts are the Russian reproductions of forgeworld Invictarius Suzerain pieces.
Ancient, Lieutenant and Sergeant going to have pistols and sheathed swords. The 5 regular guys will have swords and sheathed pistols.
I went with 5 Sternguard and 3 Bladeguard for the bodies, was a great choice as the models are almost identical and have the same arm attachments. Just needed to bodge together some sheild arms from left over bitz.

I love a good kitbash. If you don't mind, get an in-progress shot after it's primed/zenithaled because that's the first time you get to see it as a glimpse of the final product and not the the parts it's made of.

Got the sheild arms glued on, the ones I made myself for the Sternguard conversions may not be so good though. Bladeguard models are good though.
