I banged a goth chick for a bit back in my younger days and she turned me on to the Sisters of Mercy. I dumped her but kept the band. Floodland is still one of my favorite albums to this day. Goth is an acquired taste, fair warning.

Another artist that tells a great story while singing:
Always been a big fan. Had most of his albums (vinyl) back in the day.
'The Pretender' is my favourite, every track is a gem. Just found this, can hardly believe he's 73.
