So my drum teacher somehow got linked up with the drummer from Tedeschi Trucks Band (or possibly Duane Trucks, I can't remember what he said), who wants to have my drum teacher's band come up to Atlanta to record an album in his studio (my drum teacher is in his early 70's). Anyway, he mentioned the band and I'd never heard of them.

Man, how have I never heard of this band? And how aren't they a household name? I'm guessing cause it's bluesy, but god damn. I'm in awe of the talent.

Not really in my main rotation, but for sure appreciate them. Not enough pop to be mainstream, they're pretty well known though. Derek is one of, if not the best slide/blues player around right now.
