I been playing a lot of Dragon's Dogma 2 lately. It is a lot of fun but man is the Brine stupid and the AI for pawns can be pretty lack luster at times. I tell a pawn to show me where a chest is and they run straight off a mountain or into some water and die. Not sure if they are stupid or trying to tell me the chest is in Heaven lol.

DD 1 is one of my all time fave games, could not get into DD2 at all. May go back, one day.

I tried that one before DD2, it just didn't play well with my multiple monitor setup. Even using programs to force borderless windows it kept my mouse caged to that single screen, I might go back and try it on my laptop. I'm too adhd to be confined to a single monitor these days.

I do seem to recall last time I tried it on my current PC (2 4K Monitors) the engine/game spazzed out. I just moved on to something else.
And I 100% agree, I don't play games to sort out your technical problems, I play games to relax. Don't wanna work ? Fuck off.

Been playing the Total War Warhammer trilogy on the immortal empires campaign. Pretty fun for a while but battles become way too time consuming especially going for the ultimate victory condition, so just started auto resolving basically everything.

I started to watch a playthrough of Grandia on youtube, and decided to fire up the PS1 emu instead. I love the old school RPGs like this one and the Lunar series. Don't know how I missed this one back in the day.

They have a HD remaster of it on steam too.

Azure dreams is also one to check out, has a weird progression system almost rogue like you basically have to exploit.

I just hate how half the stuff I want to replay costs as much as a brand new game. You want $50 bucks for a remaster of a 30 year old game? Do what?...

The remasters for PS1 games look like shit. Best to emu it up for them.

For 8 bucks its not bad for low budget, and it has a slight The Forest vibe. Naturally its not perfect, but its been scratching an itch.

I got Yoshi & the Mysterious Book on Switch 2.

So far it's pretty fun. Super cute and whimsy, very relaxing. I'm only like a couple of hours into it and trying to 100% the levels as I go, but there's some stuff you really have to explore and tinker with to discover some hidden mechanics or trigger events in the levels to uncover more knowledge in your book.

The premise is fine, I wasn't hyped about this one unlike Yoshi's Wooly World years ago (and I liked that one better than Yoshi's Crafted World) but there's something to be said about playing a relaxing game from time to time.

I bought the new Lego Batman game. Playing that with the youngest. It’s “good”. I plan to eventually try it on the caped crusader mode or whatever hard was on my own PSN account. It’s almost too many references to past movies and games. But the kid loves Lego and Batman. It’s probably the best Lego game since the original Star Wars Trilogy. Although I have played a lot of the two marvel super heroes ones that have a lot of content.

My time is on D4 right now but about to put that to bed.
