So I’m detouring post-Bioshock to Super Mario RPG on switch (never played the original) and the new Batman LEGO game to finally play it start to finish. Then I’ll tackle FF10 and 12.

Rygsr was amazing unless you wanted a 1for1 remake of the arcade version. I loved when the Nintendo versions were different and had more nonlinear elements. I think I might be the only person who feels that way though.

However, Faxandu is fucking dope and fun too.

Most Nintendo games weren’t worth owning but were worth renting.
Man I forgot there was an arcade version of Rygar. I had Karnov for some reason as a kid. I think I traded away some other game to a another kid in the neighborhood. I don't remember whether or not there was an arcade cabinet for that one, but part of me says there was, and it was pretty bad but when you're young, whatever.

Karnov was indeed an arcade game.

It's probably why I traded away another game for that. I mean I don't know how many different arcade games I played as a kid and it didn't matter what it was but if you saw it and it was the only game at a gas station or something, you were putting your quarters in.

Kids these days just don't know the glory of the '80s and '90s. I remember we had a eckerd's that had that tank game where you drove around like Ikari Warriors, and the tank shot lasers or something, and it was a futuristic world. Movement was the two sticks where you were driving an old world war II tank. That was a damn coin guzzler.

I lived in this little shithole town called Salisbury NC, me & a buddy of mine rented I think it was Mario Golf for the SNES and realized you could leave messages in the saves and it would still be there when it was returned due to the battery. So we're getting drunk and writing about how everyone in the town as inbred hicks and ugly as hell.

I rented most games, If I rented it twice I'd consider purchasing them. I recall one of the RE games I rented so many times I just bought the damn thing.

This one?

Although that's not a futuristic world, so maybe Vindicators?
