Well I'd really have no way of knowing how bad you think it is. The main char talks too much and has kind of a slimy feel to me but the gameplay is great. I've been having to make myself stop playing of a night so I don't stay up all night, can't remember the last game that was like that.

I’ll second a recommendation for this. If you still have a PS+ sub, I think it’s included. Otherwise, goes on sale fairly frequently and is upgraded / remastered for PS5.

Some of the dialogue can be a little corny at times, but overall the story is quite good. Some great soundtracks and DEI is kept to a minimum (that I remember) outside of your token Lesbian Couple (and of course they’re both minorities). Even if you just power through the story, you should be able to get 25+hrs out of it.

I think the main issue the game had when it first came out was that it was a buggy mess. I waited 6+ months after the original release to play it and they had fixed pretty much everything by then. This was before Sony went full woke, so it’s one of the last “good” stories they had with their exclusive titles before DEI / Woke slop fully took over. Shame we won’t be getting a sequel, apparently.

I finished Resonance : A Plague Tale Legacy on PS5, took me about 15 or so hours, but still need to go back and pick up stuff I've missed in chapters.

Honestly if you were on the fence because the first two Plague Tale games were a bit too stealth-focused for you, this is a very different experience. It feels a lot more like a medieval Tomb Raider game, with a lot of melee combat and some seriously creepy/tense moments, also a lot of exploration and some cool puzzle-solving.

Despite playing a different protagonist (Sophia from Plague Tale Requiem), this has links to the main Plague Tale story and it gives a lot of insight into the origins of the Prima Macula, very interesting stuff.

I can't recommend the game enough if you're into a cool adventure with a lot of atmosphere, very good soundtrack and a good story.

when it came out it was for PS4 which had no where near the ass to run the game. I was in single digit frames trying to outrun a horde on the bike. I quit until it came back out on PC (so technically I 'double dipped') on something with enough ass to run it. Unfortunately there is still some jank (could be me modding it) for instance, I fell under the world during a cut scene last night.

Well this is simpatico . Late into the game There are 2 custom tanks that are Death Stranding themed. I got the BB one. Goes well with the modded head.

'Finished' Days Gone last night. Despite everything I tried, the game locked up 100% at the next to last mission. It's a video with no involvement (or perhaps a QTE which I despise) so I watched the end of the game on Youtube. At the suggesting of Dr.Retarded Dr.Retarded & darkmiasma darkmiasma & kroenen kroenen I picked up Remnant II & DLC on deep sale and I'm trying it now. Not looking good as I died the the fucking tutorial boss 3x times. Man I suck at souls-like's.

So I have somehow gotten sucked into Dungeon Crawler Carl, so I haven’t been playing much.

Finished Super Mario RPG. Never played it in the 90’s. I think I played half of the one on GBA. Not bad. Not great. Solid 7.5 to 8.0. Bet it was amazing in 1994.

Messing around on a necro on d4 for a week or two. Trying to think about a decently short game to knock off my list before Ocarina drops. Maybe stellar blade?

Been playing Onimusha Way of the Sword on PS5. Combat is extremely satisfying and leads to some truly epic boss fights / combat moments. The game isn't easy (playing on Action, the "medium" difficulty and highest available on the first playthrough) but it's not incredibly hard either.

I'm 40ish hours in and have maxed everything 100% but the final boss has been kicking my ass and wiping the floor with my corpse so far. I'll have to practice some techniques because I mostly favored Parries in my playthrough and the game pushes you to learn how to time Issen near the end and my reflexes suck these days.

Anyway I'd really recommend it for the epic combat and cool story, the villain is a true moustache-twirling bastard and genuinely amusing because he just loves being evil. I was originally planning on trying to get all trophies for this game but after seeing the near-end difficulty, I can't imagine I'll be able to play it on Carnage difficulty (unlocked in NG+ and required for platinum).
