That probably makes you the longest tenured poster at this point. Most of the UO guys packed it in a long time ago. I personally arrived here because I followed some folks from Toril MUD to the EQ release, playing on Veeshan with a lot of that crowd. I was not aware of it fully at the time, but the guild I was in (Outriders of Karana) was actually home to a lot of Verrant Employees and people who came over from the MUDs that Brad ripped off to make EQ. As I recall, a lot of the UO crowd moved on either shortly after Luclin launched or during the Plane of Time exodus period, but you likely know more about that.

vbulletin was the same message board company that SEO used back when EQ first came out. My entire server used it until our moderator started deleting TONS of posts, and banning people. Then we made a server-wide message board (that still exists after quite a few iterations) VN boards became Abiworld became Realpoor, became Realfek and stayed Realfek. But it picked up a title "Where Internet Drama can cost you your Job! This was after one of our posters got fired for spending most of their workday on the message board when a big drama between a few different guilds popped up.

Jeffylys was responsible for the biggest exodus, really. That whole debacle, then Draegan taking over, then selling out caused a massive amount of turnover.

Everyone in the guild needed ICQ in case a boss spawned and you needed everyone to log in. AOL instant message wasn't available for everyone at that time. Only if you used AOL. Also, why the hell aren't you on the mIRC channel?
