I'm actually really happy with what I got price and warranty wise. Paying just a bit more and got a really nice warranty since it was a Toyota Corporate Lease, they basically gave me another 60k and I sprung for the extended capping it at 100k.

If you want a Toyota in DFW definitely shoot for Toyota of Plano, since it's next to the corporate office they get a lot of corporate leases on the lot with really good warranty compared to others.

The GR Corolla was really nice to drive as well but I find the looks a bit odd, once I drove 86 after I knew it was the better choice.
Just need an EJ20 swap now? =)

I've read the 86 really is a magnificent little sports car.

The more I drive it the more I realize it really is something special. You don't get cars like this at such a low price point anymore.

That and it feels so unbridled and unrefined compared to newer cars. It really reminds me of the brash tuner cars of the late 80s and early 90s and I'm loving every second of it.
Sounds about right. its super popular for many reasons. Next stop in your evolution is a 911.

Was getting hit w/ the ads for GR supra, but a little more than my wife would want to get into lol. Really curious how the celica comes out, seems silly as wide a range as they have with current 3.

I know Porsche gatekeeps the good motors in the 911 but the Cayman is a far superior driving experience IMO. No lift-throttle oversteer, no useless backseats and it actually has a little bit of a trunk.

The GTS 4.0 is what I would be looking at if I came back to an ICE sports car.

They are fantastic, no doubt. Lots of great trim levels to choose from between the two models.

This isn't std in your cars? My 12yo old VW UP has this, eh?

I drove a 2000 Honda Insight for 21 years, it was one of the first with that feature, but it only seemed to work if your vents were 100% off. Like not even a slight breeze in the car. When it did work it startled me.

What a weird setup.

The initial implementation of this feature had some logic, it wanted the engine to be at a no-strain idle - so if you had the AC going, that caused drain and draw on the engine so it didnt kick in the off cycle… but now they have changed things were it essentially kicks it off once you hit 0mph.

who has? Honda? Don't think so. Acura doesn't so I doubt honda does. I know Toyota/Lexus doesn't.

You know every manufacturer has their own implementation right?

Some companies aren't retarded.

Yeah I know everyone does it differently. The American cars I have used are more aggressive on the turning off it seems than others. But I have driven an EV and a plug in hybrid for so long I haven’t had a car with it since my Volvo, and it was more like as you described, sometimes i would forget to turn it off bc it did not do it alll the time.

"car adjacent"...

A guy is selling his house. Why is this in the car thread? Because it's got a "serious grown ass mans" garage... And it's literally connected to the MotorSports Ranch track in Cresson Texas ;)

Full disclosure, the most fun I've ever had in a car was rolling laps at that track since you could do a thing to get runs in 3 of the supercars in their stable. It's how I checked Laps in a Lambo/Ferrari/Viper off my bucket list.

You can just build a racetrack at your house it in Texas? I need to move there. Anyone have a hot sister with a tragically recently deceased husband I can marry?
