Aren't those usually pre production vehicles at those shows? I'd be surprised if most of them don't have flaws.
Their production vehicles are just as bad.

I was at a Jeep dealership a few years ago. 100% of the Cherokees had plainly visible exterior panel/trim alignment issues. Some of them were even missing trim pieces. I didn't bother looking at the interiors.

Fkkk wiped and buffed the turtle ceramic hybrid I usually like pretty well. Look at the car a week later and have some surface hazing in area's. Not sure if I can just attack it again with a clean microfiber or how fubared it might be. Still blame the absolute shit show of a detailer I did this summer that put who knows what on it. Can't trust reviews when your in trash state.

Depends on the timing, usually if it's sufficiently early they'll just lock them or put them in a cordoned off stage.

I can tell you from experience from at least one OEM that they would have the entire paint job either touched up or redone, all the doors would be remounted, and they would go through and ensure every visible screw/bolt was in the same orientation. This was a mass market brand. That said, that was back when car shows mattered, OEMs are definitely not putting much budget into them anymore - they'd rather have an online event at a date and time of their choosing to unveil things.

So they're building a new Quiktrip near my house. It's been a complete non-event in my world until I saw this sign go up with one big difference between it and any other gas station within a reasonable drive of my house...
