JFC, how do turn this fucking music off? I can go into the Audio settings, set music to 0, but its still playing as loudly as it was at the opening.

Combat pretty good, world looks great. Biggest complaint so far is the UI/menu's - I hate these shitty gacha/asian layered menu in menu in menu UI's. Having fun, having to force myself to stop as I'm exhausted, but there is a ton of stuff to do in this game (some stuff more fun than others).

Are you playing an Oriental lady or a man? It's hard to tell, and the trailers weren't helpful.

The game allows you to create a character as body type 1 or body type 2. Based on the hour glass figure of the character in the screenshot he is using body type 2.

I just want to keep playing, the game is really good so far. I'm impressed by the environment graphics and how smooth it runs. It feels like a mix of Wuthering Waves, Elden Ring and Oblivion so far, but I'm hoping for a more MMO feel with dungeons and stuff later.

Yeah there are tank/heal/dps roles and group fights.
It’s definitely worth checking out since it’s free. My advice, power through the early dialogue and cutscenes. It gets better.

I mean, the shop is out and the business model is clear: they weren't lying, there is no P2W at all but a million outfits to spend cash on. The game has an enormous amount of content and they are time gating progression to allow you to focus on doing what you want but still making it to max at the same time as everyone else. It's definitely worth picking up & trying.

I am sure the game uses AI voice for some of the NPCs you can interact with, pretty distinct difference, but well done enough as to not matter.

No body sliders for the ladies, but the game allows them to be attractive. Zero sex appeal for the outfits, but they are all well designed and I'm tempted to buy some.

World exploration is very well done, and has good rewards. Ran around ignoring the main quest, just going from shiny to shiny killing mobs, tossing bears and exploding fish. Found a ruined fort that started a side quest (well done), which became relevant to a random NPC standing across the river. First experience with their AI chatbot.

I'll give it 30 days at least.

If people are still playing this in 30 days, I'll probably check it out. Until then, I'll assume it's yet another streamer hyped (because they're paid), Asian gacha fest that plans to steal your data.

Played for a while, my impressions so far -- It is absolutely streamer paid overhype. Trash tier story/plot. People saying there is so much to do will not have anything to do in 2 weeks. It has no hook to keep you engaged and there is no long term strategy for player retention. Yes it looks really nice, and combat plays I guess, but it is monotounous combat. "Oh another 1 on 1 boss fight, guess I'll just do same combo again over and over". There are so many games like this which have come and gone in like a 2 week news cycle. No one will be playing this in a month.

‘The localization/dubbing is really sloppy. It’s crazy this made it into the game.

Figured I would try this to see. After a couple hours my main complaint is just so much is thrown at you and menus, in menus, in menus. And in all those menus there are tons of things to "claim" for every activity, milestone, thing you find, loot, complete. I basically just follow the red dots and claim, not knowing what it was for or what the reward is for(unless its easy like armor/weapon).

I don't mind the period the game is based in, I can basically play in anything if the game is interesting enough(fake worlds, romans, middle ages, futuristic, modern current times), doesnt really matter all that much. Gameplay is most important.

But for having to give zero money to play, its hard to argue with a huge open world rpg. Though there is some co-op and other multiplayer things it seems(havent gotten to any of that).

Otherwise pretty fun to just run around and explore, do the story, fight things. And again all for free.

This freaking Qianye fight... Been breezing through mostly on legend mode, but this biatch is pissing me off now. Second phase timing is very strange for the parry window...

So I played way too much this weekend, but this game pushes all my buttons.

Beautiful world, I'd venture to say probably the best designed open world game in terms of exploration. There is tons to discover, does it get repetitive, sure it's the nature of these games. It's still fun to run around and explore.

I like the combat at recommended, not too hard but not too easy for someone like me, old and tremors in my right hand. It's flashy and fun to execute and watch. :)

It's definitely mostly a single player RPG first and foremost. Disappointed a little with the co-op mode in the single session I did with a friend. Basically everything shared on the quest but he cannot interact with the puzzles and he didn't the Mystic Art at the end (Touch of Death), I'm not sure if that's how it's intended or if we did something wrong. I did call for help for one boss, and ended within 2-3 minutes with a full group in my world to help me, so that was worked and was fun. I see people in chat constantly asking for group to do boss runs or just explore with so it seems popular.

As for the online mode, I didn't do much of it, mostly did exploration and MSQ. I did go a few times to get healed or heal people. Did some of the social stuff but not all of it. It's definitely not an MMO, the online mode is just a social hub, and a place to gather as resources on your world are in a 1 hour respawn and they are on a 5 minute timer online if I read correctly.

Lots of systems to learn and interact with, tons of menus and stuff to claim all the time.

I want to join a guild next.

I loved the game so bought the battlepass and some of the currency to get a fancy horse. I spent about 80 CAD, still have quite a few of the pearls left as I only used it for the horse. I feel I got my money's worth already with 34 hours played mostly still in the first region.
