This show is wild. The horror is obvious but its all actually real and the dude just doesn't care. Think like Jaws where the mayor probably knows the shark is real but doesnt think its a threat and wants the beach opened, same idea except in this show the mayor see the scary, disturbing, wild shit and goes fuck it and still WANTS to make it a tourist destination. Ghosts, Zombies, Sea Hags, doppelgangers, poltergeists, paranoia demons, you name it. It all fucks with everyone and its fucking hysterical. Theres also so much going on in scenes that add to the horror that you will miss some and should provide a good rewatch later.

The performances are great, Matthew Rhys is so good here. You may be put off by Dippold but this is not Lady Ghostbusters.

Just watched the first episode. It was fucking hilarious. Really subtle humor and all the actors nail it.

Looks like Apple has another homerun.

This is good fun. Not what I was expecting from horror comedy - it's legit really good horror, the comedy isn't making fun of the horror parts, but more about the character's reactions to them.

Thumbs up from me after the first two eps.

Ep1 was basically pure comedy, ep2 ramped up the creepy horror vibes.

Loved it! The inn and especially "The Captain's Suite" were fantastic. It strongly reminded me of Stephen King's short story "1408". Super creepy with the bizarre TV video, the moving curtains, and the apparent time distortion.

This episode was great. I really hope they can keep this momentum going. It genuinely feels like they have some talented writers, which is impressive given the current state of the industry. Very well done blending comedy with real horror elements.

This is gold. The song playing when he did his inaugural swim was perfectly chosen. Revenants suffering from loss of erection and sea hags that sit on your face until death

The sheriff is hilarious. When Tom was thrashing around in the shallow water, the sheriff walked up and said, “It’s okay, son.” The whole scene struck me really funny the way it looked.

Watched the first 3 episodes last night, great show so far. Agree that Matthew Rhys is really good in this. When he gets scratched by the sea hag in his car, it's not a funny moment or anything, but his scream had us rolling, rewatched a few times and kept laughing our asses off. I have no idea if he intentionally screamed like that or not but lol. Stuff like that really makes this show work; the reaction to the horror elements.

Just watched the first 2 last night with my wife, who usually can't handle any horror themed shows. The lack of gore and the presence of humor have kept her roped in so far, hopefully she'll hang in there.
