One of the best games ever made, especially post-expansion release.
Also, all the gay shit makes much more sense in Cyberpunk because you're in a literal transhumanist Los Angeles hellscape.

Same shit with Baldurs Gate 3. Yeah it had some gay shit in it, and I fucking hated all of it. Especially pre patch when it was literally forced on you from all angles. But the game and the game play more than made up for it. cyberpunk and BG3 are prob my choice for games of the decade by a long mile. Nothing even comes close, although I didnt play all of them

I'm not hating on Cyberpunk 2077 for anything. I'm saying that I don't think there will be a situation where Geralt would get corrected for assuming someone was straight, because I thought Witcher 3 already had gay people. Then I mentioned maybe I was thinking of Cyberpunk instead. What are you talking about?

Wonder how it will play, if it just continues on your run?
When I did my full run (didn't complete the main story until the two DLCs were out) of everything, I did it on death march difficulty. It was fairly brutal in the first 20-30 hours, but reason I did it was because on anything less, I had learned on my previous tries of the game (gotten around 40 hours in each time), it was too easy. I avoided any and all exp bonus items and such.
Still, past around 40 hours it is trivial. Past 50, you get so many grey quests that there are mods for it. But again, exp for what? More levels to become even more OP?
Maybe if you just do MQ it will be ok, but for someone who did everything I could find before progressing main stuff, the game ended up having a very large portion of just pressing X. Which isn't just a Witcher 3 problem. If anything it shows how good the setting/story was as I actually wanted to complete it and see everything even if the gameplay became very boring. I remember Gwent being fun though.

My worry was damn it gonna have to buy another copy of the game, but luckily it's a free upgrade if you own everything, and just means I'll get a chance to replay it with the expansions.
Speaking of which when is the new one supposed to be coming out for Witcher 3? I might just hold off for that one day.

I'm pretty pessimistic about CDPR as a whole these days but I have to give them credit for this one: not only are they giving away the DLCs to everyone right now and the remaster will be free in September, but they also said that the Switch 2 upgrade will be free for people who already own it on Switch (including physical copies). I have the game on PC, Series X, and Switch and whenever I replay it I always end up playing it on a mix of all three platforms thanks to the save transfer system. Would have sucked to lose one of them due to the Switch not getting it and the Switch 2 version being full price.

I am hoping the combat overhaul makes the game playable for me. Easily the one thing that always stops me from continuing the game after about 10 hours or so. I'm hopeful and optimistic since they are one of the few good studios left.
