If you look at the countries that didn't make the round of 16, making the round of 8 is a pretty big deal.

This is the world cup, not some national thing.

I just tuned in, did I miss anything in the first 15 minutes?
Oh, I was assuming this was the quarterfinals. I honestly haven't been following this at all, but before the game I saw something that said this was the biggest game ever for the USA. And I was just thinking that that's sad.

Holy shit this game. Two teams that refuse to play defense or possession just countering back and forth. It's stupid, but fun as shit to watch.

This is the equivalent of 5v5 all mid Dota.

USA getting good plays together in the last few minutes but looks shaky at the counter attack

That is wrong at least, in 2002 the US advanced to quarter finals.

Someone needs to call a timeout. Those exist right?
someone can fake an injury, that's pretty much it.

Watching the US reminds me of watching college hockey. The difference in how the kids pass and play the puck are so incredibly different from the pros.

In other words, I'm fuckin tired of watching Zusi and Bradley shit away 80% of their touches. Fucking thing sucks.

Zusi has been shockingly bad, my worst fears have come true. Bedoya is basically a passenger, you can harp on Bradley's play but at least he's trying to do something. 2 out of Diskerud, Green and Johansson need to come on for those 2.

I only see two people on the US side that seem to actually -want- the ball and push forward; Dempsey and Yedlin, everyone else just seems to want to pass it along. Bradley seems incapable of taking the ball from midfield to the box...isn't that what he's supposed to be good at? As the ESPN announcers said, the US should really hammer that left side..if they can maintain some possession.
