It doesn't appear to be a menu item right now. Supposedly if you want to disable global transmog and you have selected Enhanced upon character creation you need to go to the Transmog NPC in Stormwind or wherever and change it there.

Pretty cool interview on the dude who ran the world first hardcore, guild self found, no auction house Naxx run. The shit about his dad was heart warming too. This is what old wow is. Just hhwhites and rangs making the best possible gaming experience ever.

Definitely didn't really keep up with the classic scene but holy shit listening to this kid talk about private servers, the various hardcore runs etc, the heroic feats his members had to pull during the KT fight for WF hardcore etc. Shit is really getting me hype.

I think once this SavedVariable issue is resolved (prevents me from retrieving recorded data such as gathered nodes) I want to make a loot recorder addon. I have no interest in hyper-optimization but I want to make things that compound the knowledge I have personally acquired. If we're going to be sticking around Forever(tm) this appeals to me.

So it would work similarly to AtlasLoot or something and just create a database I can search of items dropped by X mob in Y zone and some percentage rates based on my personal interaction with it. Later on I want to do an Auction House and Crafting one.

You using any AI for any mod creation/work? I'm by no means a programmer but have been in the IT industry for eons on the OPs side. Recently had AI fix a plugin for single player tarkov that I missed due to it not being upgraded. I'm wondering what level of mod I could create via prompts.

Of course. I've always wanted to make addons but as someone who codes all day for work I didn't want to learn some WoW specific bullshit in my free time to tinker with addons. Agentic development is the name of the game now.

I know all of the fundamentals of application development and scripting very well so its mostly describing features and how I expect them to work. Things like SavedVariables being busted I figured out just by understanding how data loads in stuff and narrowing it down from there. You're going to want to give your agent strong context with the WoW UI source code on github and the API itself.

Absolutely doable but you might get tripped up on some things if you don't know what you are looking for.

One thing they need to get solved with Forever is the fucking memory leak or whatever it is. It's annoying as fuck. I can go from 150 FPS and then in like 2 hours I'll be at like 50 FPS. Can turn the settings down to legit 1 on everything and shit don't change, need to log out and back in to fix it. Thankfully other people are experiencing it so I know it's not just me.

BTW, I noticed secondary lighting doesn't crash me but it murders my performance. Like 6 fps to 60 when I turn it off.

They've moved Healing Potions into First Aid. Along with Tourniquets (item that just stops bleeds), as well as the usual anti-venom's and stuff.

Seems like a curious choice but I understand the intent here. Everyone who can't heal needs potions or something and people are retards a lot of the time who don't just buy some at the AH or from their friendly alchemist before they go out leveling. Let players be a little more self sustaining. Although back in the day I remember tons of players who totally ignored first aid even if they were Rogues and stuff.

IDK, I don't think this is that bad of an idea as long as alchemy was sufficiently buffed.

They could just port in alchemy from era and it would still be head and shoulders above any other prof $$ wise. The tryhards literally user every pot + a flask for raids, I dont think losing major healing potion will hurt the bottom line too bad.

I've been doing alchemy in the beta and I know I don't remember all of Classic, but man does the alchemy profession look completely gutted. There are 5 or 6 things I can make up through level 20 and I was able to start making them at level 6. Did they deliberately take it all out, or was it always this shitty?

Another Observation: the Auction Hall
- I still maintain this version is complete ass. You want to buy a cheap green for a lowbie toon? Well good luck getting anything useful because you won't know the modifiers on it until you pay for it. Wanted something for your melee toon but got "of the owl"? Too bad.

Who the hell thought that was a good idea?

This is likely due to the state of the backported AH from retail. The stats and "of the Bear" and shit modifiers are obsolete there but not in Classic style gameplay. They will probably correct it.

Seems to be a lot of bug threads about it.
