I actually love this.
Progression as a caster always feels mediocre compared to a melee to me in just about every MMO. It's pretty cool to actually think you'll really be able to feel the impact of getting a new weapon on a caster in a similar way to a melee.

The only people I know who think Im dumb for wanting to play a PvE server, are the people who havent played WoW in 15 years and think ganking is awesome.
Classic 2019 quickly showed how shitty world pvp is when you can even enter specific zones at 60.

Man I spent so much time in AV in those classic years. When people actually collected rider parts, summoned and fought the mid field bosses, got gryphons and bat riders. Captured mines, AVs that lasted days and wasnt just a rush to the final GY and then kill boss in sub 10 minutes to make the most honor/hr. I could spend all day in an AV, log out and come back tomorrow to the same AV going.
I didnt really get into the other BGs or world pvp. Outside STV crazyness. As I did play on a pvp server.
But true dont really want to deal with all that this time around and I am sure the BGs will just be like current retail where its about efficiency more than just playing the game.

While gay he has always been a gay ass PVPer so it isn't like he's breaking character. He's in it for love of the game at this point PVPing on a feral druid since vanilla is a special kind of retard.
As a change PVP gear needs to be completely useless outside of PVP.

Those were for sure fun times. I even played on a PVP server and at launch and beyond it wasn't toxic, it was just world PVP when it happened and you could still quest just fine.
Today, its people deliberately trying to make someone else's life miserable because that ganker has brain damage of some kind.

Professions: smithing, leather working, and tailoring can all make full sets of green magic gear by lvl 10 plus weapons. Low material cost and low skill requirements.
Alchemy gets….far fewer potions than original classic. LUL. Who’s idea was this?

I dont see the issue with it. Tradeskills were completely pointless when leveling. Most of them were just a gold dump to make 1 level 60 epic recipe. Let me craft some decent gear while I level and not have to rely on dungeon drops. I like that they moved healing potions to First Aid.

BGs and AV in particular was my favorite part of the entire game. My mission in life was to make Alliance wipe on Drek after retaking the GYs to force both sides to fight each other instead of race. I didn't care about points. I didn't care how long the AVs were. I wanted to hear the lamentations of the honor farmers.
Blizzard is moving in a good direction but what will keep my sub is fixing BGs. Blizzard 20 years ago did not give a fuck about PvP so they left BGs to rot. Racing to AV bosses, people AFK, and premades stomping PUGs ruined BGs. Hopefully somebody with authority there now gives enough of a fuck to stop that shit. Longer AVs need to be more rewarding as well.
I wrote an addon called Snitch to automatically report AFK players in BGs at one point. I wonder what CS thought of that. Players could literally never move, be present for the entire thing and have 0 damage or healing and still get honor points. Blizzard just didn't care.

I completely agree that those tradeskills need to be revamped. But, my point is they did that and then gutted alchemy.

I was like, the 3rd or 4th hunter to 60 at launch and all I did was go to STV. Why? Because there was one Undead Rogue named Lizardking who did nothing but gank people. Nonstop. Not high levels, just any alliance he saw. As his natural counter I made his life hell and as a dwarf he couldn't even poison me. He'd just log off until I left then I'd get messaged once I was a continent away by some one saying he's back. Real loser shit. It just made me happy that I, a 15 year old, was almost assuredly dicking down some 20+ year old guy who thought he got free lunch.
Redridge on my 2nd character also just had a 60 level Horde Warrior who never left because it was the lowest flagged PVP zone. He'd just sit there and kill lvl 20's all day. Very epic stuff.
World PVP was fun, but outside of Southshore/Hillsbrad it was usually two raids raiding at the same time and going "oh fuck it, why not" and wasting everyone's time by trading healer deaths nonstop for 30 minutes after raid start time.

I’m forever going to have PTSD from trying to run the gauntlet to BRD for Arena run spam and there being an entire line of alliance groups camping from the chain to the zone-in. Had to die like 6+ times to make it in everytime you wanted to do a set.
