Since they are returning to stuff from Warcraft 2 like the Order of the Horse this is doubtful. Much of what we see may indeed be characters we have seen before but taken a different direction.

Maybe they changed it in recent years in one of their Chronicles books, but Barrow Deeps is the place where the Night Elf druids sleep under Mount Hyjal and where Maiev Shadowsong and her contingent of Wardens keep their prisoners (including Illidan).

Perhaps in the Forever timeline, the place was invaded by furbolgs after the events of Warcraft III?

Well I am pretty sure I want to play Horde. As much as I might have liked to main Alliance for once.

I would have liked if they made Trolls and Orcs use updated models that stood up straight though. Or even give you the option to use them. Troll 2h animations are so bad.

Troll hunters have pretty cool animations/poses, I like how they hold their bow and how they (the males) sit down on their haunches.

100%. They had aspirations for this in WOTLK but It didn't work out. The skeletal remains of it were reused for those spider dungeons and azjol nerub boss fight under the Argent Tournament (by far the gayest raid tier they have ever done).

Yes, their plans for an underground city-like Azjol'Nerub didn't pan out back then, and I think they kind of re-attempted that with Azj'Kahet in The War Within. The city part, at least, looked interesting but those hybrid-nerubians ended up being completely forgotten in the next patch, I prefered the original design for them.

The only thing I see against Northrend being a "Soon (tm)" thing in Forever is that the next expansion is already on Northrend (albeit probably very much changed from WotLK's version), AND they're releasing Wrath Remix before that, so that'd be a bit of a Northrend overload in a short span.

I wouldn't expect Northrend stuff in Forever until at the very least 2028 or beyond.

Not really sure what the point of people shitting all over this is. Wow Forever ain't for me but I'm interested to see what direction it goes. I find it humorous people paid $60 or whatever to play a very limited beta, but I've certainly done questionable things when I was horny.

I think it's nice for once to actually hear positive shit about MMOs which is the reason I'd wager most of us migrated here in the first place.

I don't care about the beta, but I did want to try my hand at developing addons against this new API with Agentic Power. I had always wanted to make addons but never really wanted to spend my spare time learning Lua.

For this reason it has been a great time. I just need Bliz to fix their SavedVariables so I can actually save stuff in the WTF cache so I can continue on.

As you know, if you code all day coding for fun is just not very high on the list. Since I know all of the details that I want to do and no longer have to worry about syntax its just architecture patterns.

This is the guy to understand. He creates a singular backend processing script that is the core of all of his others. Its fascinating in its own way. The new API is very clean and efficient.

Forever being Mac native is also a big plus for me.
