I always have class selection paralysis. I've leveled up a handful of alliance and horde characters to around level 7 on Forever and can't decide which one to main. I played a rogue, warrior, druid, and warlock to 60 or close to cap twenty years ago and dabbled in hunter and mage into the low 30s, but I can't decide which one to do on Forever. Leaning hunter, mage, or paladin but no clue and torn on alliance vs horde too.

playstyle will be super casual, almost exclusively solo. Any suggestions?

If you're just going to be solo-ing it up casually with what you're leaning, hunter would probably be the way to go.

I forgot how much travel time is in original wow. Just so much running, flying. That sleeping bag quest was so much running. Cant imagine the pain on a class/race without some kind of run speed.

Yes, I agree that is probably the logical choice. I assume Paladin isn't quite so easy to just go around solo stomping everything. Guess now it's just the hunter alliance vs hunter horde decision.

The layering can be good at times when you want mobs, but sometimes it just makes it seem so empty. Then I take the zep to UC and when it loads the zep goes from 5 people to 50+ on it. And you get to see cool things like this that make the game actually seem filled(all the people running from zep to UC):

People are going to UC area to level because the Barrens sucks ass. They need to turn up the layering a lot here.

The new starting zone is really bad about this. The last 25% of it requires a huge amount of running.

People have forgotten that retail includes a lot of QOL items that were put in for a reason.

Kinda dealing with the same thing but Hunter is what I'd go in your case. As a resto shaman in vanilla I took a hunter all the way to 60 because it was the easiest and fastest way for my broke ass to make some money soloing. FD is a get out of jail free button for gathering and PVE both. You can do some crazy shit solo you really shouldn't be able to as a hunter.

If you wanna do group content tho, paladin free. Heal tank and DPS in one. Oh and clearly horde either way.

The AH is the worst system I've seen in gaming. Utter trash. 1600+ red line bags up. Spend 10 minutes clicking buyout then clicking accept to only ever see "the item was not found". Yet, the total number of items never drops fast enough to make you think 1600+ just sold instantly.

I want to but something about paying monthly subs for video games in current year feels gross.

Is this the only way Blizzard makes money now?

The rare pets have always been there and they were always trainable, at least most of them. But they are only skins, no unique things about them. Like I said they normalized all that shit way back in classic. And Im doubting they gave those pets unique anything. Why? Because if there was one pet with the best ability/dps/whateverthefuck, everyone would just have that one pet, lol.

Pets are not normalized on forever. I'm currently using Rake and he has his classic 1.2 attack speed.
