Yeah, for like the 6 quests in the game that are in the overland and actually require a group? You don't need to be in dungeons to group.
Speed running dungeons used to be the fastest way to level, and by a lot. Laughably enough, only a small %of people ever did this, so they fucked over 90+% of their gamers by making dungeons not worth it.I never understood why dungeon exp should be bad. There's a bajillion people on the server and dungeons remove some of them from the open world.
Interesting that after 20+ years, Blizzard still doesn't know how gamers work. People are always going to take the path of least resistance. Them trying to stretch out content by requiring multiple runs to finish incentivizes bad behavior. In the case of dungeons, players were bailing on their groups as soon as they completed their own objectives. Why not? Why hang out for no rewards and no xp.I’m ok with more dungeon xp… was in group for excavation yesterday, not enough hides dropped for any of us. They wanted to go back in and farm for a puny 1k xp quest but it was a waste of time so I bailed. Woulda stayed if xp was worth it.
My 2c, spending some CS resources to aggressively persue removing RMT pros is a better move than taking away an avenue of fun for players. I like the option to grind dungeons or xp and loot personally, but I'm not trying to power game doing it.Not sure why we have to rehash this. As they are planning on this being "forever" they want to get ahead of things that will act like anchors on the game. Paid boosting services and rampant botting will destroy this game and any long term sustainability they are going for.
There are always better solutions but tanking one of the primary bot avenues is a start.
I have plenty of disposable income. What's it to you if I want to use it on some boosting services? I'll just go out to dinner a few nights less and have less coffees, big deal. Not sure why we have to rehash this. During it's time under Activision, Blizzard was underfunded. That is obviously not the case now and they have far greater access to Microsoft's resources. Going the super cheap route should be avoidable if they so desire. My 2c, spending some CS resources to aggressively persue removing RMT pros is a better move than taking away an avenue of fun for players. Seems to me Blizzard can hire a guy to spin up RMT site accounts and "buy" gold and PLs and just ban everyone involved. I've never understood why no company does this. Accept collateral damage and deal with it case by case. You get an avalanche of CS at the start but the problem goes away fairly quickly.
They buffed dungeon experience again. They need to not cave to internet manchildren on this. Stick with their design and just move on.
I don't think I could stay up until 3am unless I planned to take two full days off workI’m a bit ashamed of myself. Haven’t been able to pull the all nighters like I used to. Falling asleep at like 3am. Getting old sucks.
That’s how it is. Have to bounce around until late 20s when it gets more fluidI could do with a bit more QoL. There is lots of it but more is good. But could use some more. Riding a FP from ratchet to ogrimar and it flies west to crossroads first, then makes a big loop through and then finally heads north.
Also first time leveling horde and man its a shock how much harder it seems to level to 30 compared to alliance. So much zone hoping(even continents), where ally just had a line of zones all next to each other. Probably a combo of just me not knowing it all either.
Also leveling druid till cat form was brutal. First 10 wanna be caster and then bear was so slow dps wise.
Make sure you just do RFC and Ruins of Lordaeron. It gets you straight to level 19. Then go the the southern Barrens for a bit. Do WC if you can get the quests and so on. I ran around a lot doing whatever but yeah. Humping it sucked back in the day too!I’m level 16 now on my warrior the running is fucking brutal. I don’t remember it being this bad but man. 80% of my play sessions are fucking running. It’s starting to wear on me. Silverpine is the worst so far. Combined with some shit quest item drop rates, people all over looking for the same mobs, and then turning in and having to run back to the same area you were just at is shit.
