Yeah the plan to have a couple of years between all ours dogs failed miserably. We had booked a granddaughter out of one of our breeder friends dog but ended up with a daughter the same age as Coco we got last year. Called Rosie just now but thats gonna change :)

Read and enjoyed many of those included in this thread, Dan Simmons, Expanse etc but i also found Dan Worth's Progenitor trilogy good space opera fare. They are a little bit rough in spots being the authors first books and use a fair few standard scifi tropes but I'd recommend checking them out...

Interstellar was utter horseshit. Plot holes everywhere and a musical score that was so out of synch with the on screen action that i thought they had stuck on the wrong track.

Started out good and fizzled out to a very disappointing end i thought. A meh overall for this series

Yeah he's definitely massively improved as a writer. I did enjoy the earlier Mistborn books but they weren't quite as good as his newer stuff. Worth persevering with i'd say. And an author i like that writes at the speed he does? A godsend :)

Very nice work indeed, really like the contrast of the shaded artwork overlaid with the coloured leaves, gives it great depth i think

Just seen this and, as a lifelong space nut who really likes Nolan and virtually everything he's done, I have to say I thought this was pretty poor. I thought it was very slow, the story was obvious, the ending very contrived and irritating, the sounds score didn't blend with the action well...

Well done the germans, they thoroughly deserved to win. Overall a really good WC with lots of good attacking play and plenty of goals. Pity FIFA decided to give player of the tourney to Messi who was not even fucking close. Personally i thought he was very disappointing and was overshadowed...

Just caught up with this, full s2 in a couple of days and jesus what a fantastic series ending. I could feel myself getting wound up with the tension as the eps went on wondering what the outcome of the eventual clash would be but I did not expect the outcome that finally came. Fantastically...

They should take all these fucking whiny fat cunts and put them in a reality show where they are forced to follow the diet they say they do. And i say that as a slightly overweight person who is losing weight by not eating like a bastard and doing a little exercise....
