The biggest issue with the new server is that its counter to the actual player base of TLP. The bulk of people who loved classic to pop do so because they loved to group with real people and not just box 6 chars. The new server is going to be a boxing server. Solo people wont be able to find...

Voting for the ruleset was a terrible idea... Getting some idea where people stand on certain things via polls was fine. But implementing each one without taking the overall server and game play into account was never going to work well.

It is funny how inaccurate the data is on some of these polls. A very large chunk of people could not vote at all, and there were 5-6 people who voted over 100 times each. You had the live mq2ers pushing heavily for the non truebox so they could play on the server while telling themselves they...

No to truebox was always going to win. The people who box live and want mq2 on the new server far exceed the people who do it on tlps.

To me its like would you rather a few people go 110 mph on the highway breaking the speed limit who might get caught or would your rather have 90% of people going 110mph with no speed limit.

There are ways around it but it still keeps a good chunk of people from using it. There is a campaign right now from live server mq2 users trying to push for the no truebox option so they can freely play and use it on the new server.

Key is macroquest will be blocked on any server with turbox enabled, even relaxed truebox. While any server without truebox macroquest is not blocked and free to use.

There are a lot of truebox people who wont play on non truebox and a lot of people who wont play on truebox. I just think that relaxed 3 clients to start is the best compromise that will attract the most players.

They added in "Relaxed Truebox" poll option and clarified how the truebox polls will work

At this point it would make more sense to just have two servers, one Truebox and one with No Truebox.
