Voting for the ruleset was a terrible idea... Getting some idea where people stand on certain things via polls was fine. But implementing each one without taking the overall server and game play into account was never going to work well.

No to truebox was always going to win. The people who box live and want mq2 on the new server far exceed the people who do it on tlps.

To me its like would you rather a few people go 110 mph on the highway breaking the speed limit who might get caught or would your rather have 90% of people going 110mph with no speed limit.

There are ways around it but it still keeps a good chunk of people from using it. There is a campaign right now from live server mq2 users trying to push for the no truebox option so they can freely play and use it on the new server.

Key is macroquest will be blocked on any server with turbox enabled, even relaxed truebox. While any server without truebox macroquest is not blocked and free to use.

There are a lot of truebox people who wont play on non truebox and a lot of people who wont play on truebox. I just think that relaxed 3 clients to start is the best compromise that will attract the most players.

18 weeks of Velious though.... the first option would be the best if they only had classic at 4-6 weeks instead 12. We have not had a server with 12 weeks of classic since mangler or aradune which no one wants.

Its what someone said earlier though. Several of the key options are splitting the votes. Some basically have 3 options which are similar and then 1 option which is not. The 1 option that does not split the vote is winning in multiple polls.

Voting like this is a horrible idea.. They should present 4-5 rules packages and have people vote on the package. Doing it like this is just going to be confusing and everything will be voted yes for except maybe pvp and level locking.

Could not agree more on not throwing things at them that would be very difficult in implementing and unlikely to happen. I do wish we could convivence them of the two tlps a year setup released 6 months apart. This would not put so much weight into the single tlp of the year.

I will say I have not seen any increase in player population on fangbreaker since THJ was shut down. There was a small bump when level 55 unlocked but the server has lost that small bump and is now at similar population before the 55 unlocking.

The ban was due transferring no drop gear, mostly planar stuff. A person in the guild, who I cannot remember, gave a few of us a app that allowed you to trade no drop gear. Kartak/Kalaran aka Furor was the only person hit for using the app.

Its possible I interrupted this wrong from his end. I do know that some guilds like Faceless always want harder stuff to do. It was one reason those types of guilds liked Vnaki so much. My main point was the masses dont want "harder" and making the entire server "harder" would massively reduce...

I really only see two possible outcomes to this. THJ shutting down (forced or voluntarily) or coming to an agreement with DPG like Quarm did.

There were no noticeable sales decline in krono from what I saw. Teek had increased overall sales in the 3rd party market and there was no decline until Fangbreaker was announced. I would bet this email was from a guild member who lost a lot of guildmates to the server.

The ROI on Tlps have got to be massive when you just recycle older ruleset as they require almost no dev time. So it doesnt make sense why they would not be releasing at least 2 tlps a year separated by 4-6 months to try and maximize the players who want to play different rulesets.
