I am running a Shimian (Korean) 1440p monitor from ebay. Not 120hz. Never had a problem with it being detected by my GTX 680, though. The new beta drivers (326.80) just increase the performance in FFXIV a good amount.

dunno if this was already posted or not, but the new nvidia beta drivers are giving me a nice ~10% performance increase in the benchmark. scores with 326.41 drivers: 1080p @ max - 10073, avg. fps 89.27 1440p @ max - 6954, avg. fps 57.19 with new 326.80 drivers: 1080p @ max - 11439...

Can anyone else not see any JP servers? I logged off before the emergency maintenance last night and haven't been able to log back on since. I see all the NA/EU servers, but not the JP servers.

The first five or so levels in beta 2 were very confined. Run around the city, get the back story of the city, tutorial stuff. The game opened up a bit more after that. But, story is a big focus and if you're looking for a sandbox game, this ain't it.

Dark Knight (DRK) was an advanced job in FFXI, it'll probably eventually be added to FFXIV. That was my first advanced job... wish I had known that in order to get a group past level 30, you needed to be either a PLD, WHM, or a better kind of DD class.
