It was a police scanner. In some states, it would detect if the police shoulder mount repeater was close enough and warn you. Back when I first got it, it would pick up early cell phone conversations before those were digitized lol.

It was...ok as long as you were camped in one spot and not moving. They had set zone lines, but the zone lines almost never made geographic sense (compared to the obvious zone lines of EQ in most places)

I turned on the auto-attack clicky for offensive button timings, and to be honest if there was one for defensive parries I would've used that too. By the middle of Act 2 I was over having to learn new parry timings every few minutes, especially when most of them are feints. Blech
