This was bad, but we knew that going in. Just wanted a silly action movie and silly action movie is what we got. My main issue with the movie turned out to be not liking the mech design. It didn't seem like the type of advanced tech I have come to expect from a space fairing race.

We saw this today, it was fine. I'll give it a solid B. Not great, but they really did try to honor the original. Some was a bit much (infrared scene), some was more traditional (crane), some more lonely Island (black eyed peas), and the rest somewhere in between it all. Not a bad theater...
