It's Ok for an early-release alpha. They haven't implemented any anti-cheat mechanisms so hackers/cheaters are rampant They've also been changing the direction of the design specs... moving away from the original concept they pitched. Maybe this is where Silius has stuck his foot in it.

I think your math is off a bit there. 20k subs @ $15/month = 300k/month or 3.6M /yr Are you saying that a game developer could not maintain a released game for 3.6M a year?? 3.6M would easily pay for a team of 10 to 12 and support staff/servers etc

It may be more about cutting ties with Sony. Could be some type of stipulation stated in the acquisition.
