Fucking. Wow.

So the subtle calls during the season with Bernard that we picked up on came to light. We guessed it at least two to three episodes prior but I still was pleasantly surprised. And shocked.

I Read something about Bernard being who he is somewhere couple weeks ago.

Holy fuck.

I do think we needed that hardcore sex from Dolores.

Dude, that was cold blooded! Ford>Hannibal!
Only if he eats her later.

So what's his play going to be here? Black mail the board or kill them all off?? Seems far fetched. Also still those two idiot techs didn't set her to drooling on herself mode.

I'm going laugh if westworld is an all robot military experiment to make self learning AI for battle or infiltration.

..Nnnnnoooooo, nooo it's not!

*eyes dart side to side*

Okay, yeah it is. Ford is the anti-hero. Stopping them from using his art project as a war machine. Good for him. The Bernard thing was forecasted episodes ago. "I've been here forever", start of episode was him waking up from a "dream" about his "son", etc.

Can someone explain to me what the point of killing the QA chick as a "blood sacrifice" does when it was the board member telling her they needed to make a blood sacrifice? Why would Ford know about the "blood sacrifice" outside of plain spying on everything (which I assume he does).

And the point of firing the head of programming while all knowing that Ford actually did it? Ford clearly isn't going to retire. So the little "tragedy" they planned went sideways via Ford. So now he can show them that he can kill every person in the park and there's nothing they can do about it or him?

This plot has suddenly become to self absorbed and confusing for dumb reasons.

It seemed to me
That they were blaming Bernard because they expect him to roll over on Ford and give him up to save his job, thus giving them grounds to fire him. Jokes on you princess.

So that theory that William is indeed the MIB was rather strong in this episode to the point of slapping you in the face with it.

Oh, derp, a metaphorical blood sacrifice. And a Theresa bot makes sense.

How has the plot become too confusing? People from the outside want his technology, and they want him out. He's unwilling to do either. That's about as straight forward as it can be.

Terrific.

The Maeve thing might be getting more interesting? She's conscious of her consciousness. It's a spin on Heidegger's philosophy, perhaps? We spent the first few episodes so captivated by Delores and how she is the first conscious host, but maybe she is nothing more than a long spin on the William=MiB connection?

In any case, it's obvious that Ford's reveries are working. The board does not want Strong AI. Ford, though, is undeterred and clearly an evil genius that cannot be stopped (except by MiB, which is why Ford allows him freedom because he's too damn curious and self-righteous).

Their methods for getting him out are comical at best, that's why.

Great episode. Loved the end scene, Ford is absolutely the villain here, that's very clear now.

Bernard being a host leaves the door wide open for others to be and also lends credence to him being in Arnold's image since he couldn't see the other half of the photo with Ford and robodad.

Bump off each member that gets sent his way and replace them? 'this time they sent you'

Alright so great episode, and my spider sense went off right in the begining during his dream sequence because he said to his son "we can beat this" or something. Well everything's already been cured so that's not right. Once maeve asked what's her face about her dreams I was convinced dude was a bot. Then 'what door' was just fucken awesome.

We still have some problems though. Why did the techs that went and picked up weird face have full hazmat type suits on? And maeve blackmailing those two doofuses still doesn't jive for me, unless they are also bots and it's all part ford's big narrative.
