Those little bastards look really cool - and expertly done - minus the hella tyte stretched tire. Please don't do that nonsense.

1,000 miles per week is ridiculous. I love driving, but I think I'd lose that love having to run around that much....at 20mpg...

Yes, I deliver medical equipment to patients homes around north Florida, sometimes I drive as much as 300 miles a day. Then some days, I don't have to work at all, so it's nice.

Thankfully my suby averages 31 MPG, and I get paid $0.53 per mile, on top of my salary and bonus.

Burren, the tire stretch is partly so you can fit a fatty tire on the back, and partially to offset the engine so the tire lines up with the frame. They have different offsets though, up to as much as a foot i think. I'm worried if I stretched it a bunch, my fat ass would make the frame scrape without a heavy shock.

That's basically what I wanted to use mine for. Small little errands or driving to work on really nice days since it was close.

What I found so appealing about them was price and the amount of options of for modding. Increase the engine from the 50cc to the 160cc and then sky is the limit, there are options for any taste and style. If you like tinkering with shit and are extremely limited on budget Ruckus/Grom are the way to go.

EDIT: I liked the wheel more than the stretched tire look on a bike, I also did not like the idea of a square tire rather than a curved tire (Alot of guys run the square tire).

But, the tire isn't fat, it's stretched well beyond it's intended width. If you wanted a wide tire, why not put on a.....wide tire? It's like me trying to put a 205 section on my 13" wheel, when it should be a 335 section tire.

How peppy are those scooters? 35-45 mph?

With the 50cc they are dogs, but if you throw the bolt on 160cc engine they are really fun and peppy.

EDIT: here is the shitty square tire I do not like.

Ahh. Yeah, I imagine it's much harder to corner with a tire like that on a bike.

I think if I was going to have an "around town bike with 150cc, I'd go with a Super Moto of some kind. Way better at jumping curbs and doing wheelies =)

That sounds really smart on a bike with no weight over the front, probably doesn't stop or turn for shit.

I originally wanted to get a CTS V sedan, but they were unable to find much on the dealer auctions for months, so I settled on the ATS as we needed another vehicle. I told the dealer to let me know when they tracked a V sedan down (hence where we are today, but with a V-Sport instead). Bought the ATS a few years back as I wanted something sporty, comfortable, and something I could get a good deal on (if I couldn't get a V). We have other vehicles, but we are essentially wanting to consolidate (and get something larger).

CTS V-Sport is essentially a larger ATS-V would be more realistic. V-Sport has essentially the same engine just different turbos and connecting rods (both are 3.6L twin-turbos; ATS-V is not a V8), same transmission, and also same suspension.

So they are really spending all this US taxpayer money going balls out against Benz AMG and the Audi S huh... ain't that neat. I'd reckon V-Sport is their AMG label from what you and @Soygen have told me.

I've been out of the CAD market for a couple of years now. Appreciate the clarification. You'd probably punch me in the face-- I passed on a never driven CTS-V with the fully loaded kit (true air conditioned seats, Cadillacs made after 2012 or so only have "air" seats, they don't blow A/C. My dealer investigated this and confirmed the true A/C seats are no more. Cutting them tax dollars I guess!) black on black custom rims the whole 9 because I wasn't ready to stuff my body into a mid-size sedan. Came down to check it out after getting the call. The head clearance was just a shave under what I was used to, and I sat in it and berged out. Was a 2011, 0 miles. lil something someone got around to pulling out of the warehouse I guess.

Still don't understand why even Porsche's luxury offerings (Panamera) have no A/C seats. Went down there too, was appalled at losing options for 30k more, especially for Porsche. I said "no A/C seats? grrrr I've got A/C seats right now" Berged out again and left. Beautiful interior options though, breathtaking, if you are willing to track and hunt them down.

Ended up spending the money on worthless trips and recreation that really didn't give me the same enjoyment as having the car would have. Tough lesson, but there are some things you need to learn yourself firsthand.

When in doubt, ALWAYS get the car. Please pals.

Lots of car manufacturers are moving to Cylon faces (Toyota/Lexus being the worst).

I am glad they are going back to powerful grills - the little slit grills and curved down front ends just looked pussified to me.

Mazda CX-5/9 and the volvo XC90 have done the imposing big grill nicely - also the refreshed 16+ grill on the QX60 also looks a lot more imposing than what it had before.

Lexus and Audi have gone kinda off the other end of the spectrum.
