i am getting sick of their female shit thrown in every chance there is.

anyway, this episode sucked and honestly this show was never great to begin with. just high production value and some world building thrown in it. now that we have stepped away from the book and GRRM pretty much rolling in money, he and HBO gives no shit.

That's not you explained.

Noted Benioff, "This scene hearkens back to Season 1. ... When she finally finds Nymeria again, or Nymeria finds her, and she of course wants her to come back home with her and be her loyal companion again, but Nymeria's found her own life."

In Season 1, Arya had said to her father, "That's not me," when he described a happy life for her in a castle. By saying "That's not you" to Nymeria, it's her way of saying that she knows a happy reunion isn't in the cards for Nymeria given how much has happened since they last saw each other. But will that revelation have an impact on Arya's plans as well?

Can a female wolf be a pack leader?

Seems like some SJW bullshit.

Euron wrecked the shit out of half the female cast and you fags are hung up on a genderless translation thats been apart of the story since the start. You're turning into whiny bitches.

my episode ended right after arya/nymeria shit

was there more?

seemed kinda abrup
Yeah, mine did too. Went and downloaded a different copy which was basically the Euron shit.

Anyway, man, everything at Dragonstone was cringe. I was anticipating coming in this thread saying that and getting a rash of shit from people defending it. Glad everyone else thought the episode sucked. Sansa is fucking obnoxious as well.

That said, the battle scene was damn good. Hope we get a few more budget buster scenes like that this season.

the euron scene for me was the only good part of the whole episode.

with 12 episodes left to go, there is still way too much exposition and this is just becoming really predictable now. i hope they have some surprises left, theyre gonna need them cause theyre no match for the army of the undead

Jesus, talk about an obscure callback. How the fuck would anyone remember that?

Speaking of predictable, when Jon read the letter saying that Daenerys wanted him to come to Dragonstone, I said to my wife "Well that's convenient!" I mean holy shit, c'mon! How many fucking signs are they going to give that that's what he was going to do? Maybe that's why the Sansa scene was so grating to me.

Makes sense. Either way Arya's not surprised anymore.

I read this thread throughout the week. I wanted to chime in on the abandoned Dragonstone thing.

It's clear to me the dudes in charge chose to forgo exposition for 'rhythmic visuals'. The entire scene was set up so that no dialogue would fuck with the "Shall we begin" moment that was in store.

It feels like after the show runners used what GRRM wrote up to that point (admittedly I havent read the book), afterwards they basically just took the path of least resistance to finish writing the conclusion. the only problem with that is that it makes for really shitty plot because the plot is written with author's omniscient knowledge of all character motivations and expectations. so its basic, boring and predictable.

i actually rewatched the first 4 seasons (first time since i watched them originally several years ago) over the past week while working and was pleasantly surprised how well this show held up and how many more little things i caught now that i know so much more about the show.

in a way it kinda sucks that a really nuanced, complicated and intricate show is basically getting phoned in, in the last 14 hours
