I'm pretty impressed with Made in Abyss (on Amazon Prime). I thought it was going to be childish with the animation, but, it really grows on you and the storyline is excellent.

I remember that was the consensus here when it first came out. "Fuck this, I'm not watching this kiddie shit!". Then later on during the season it turned into "oh my, what the fuck!? How could they?"

New chapter came out, seems to be delving into more of Reg's backstory. Wish the manga came out more often so they could animate it.

The show got dark quick. I think the first official foray into "dark" came in the form of the White Whistle friend of the mother who beat the hell out of Reg. We were shocked. But that ain't shit.

Regarding this season, I'm enjoying a few shows thus far.

Citrus - Ok, the whole gimmick to this is some high school lesbian thing, but the show itself actually seems good outside of that. I could be wrong, but I've liked the first two episodes, even if they didn't have any slightly sexual shit going on.
Darling in the FranXX - Horn chick is pretty cool. And even if I don't understand it completely, the first episode was good. I'm looking forward to the second.
Death March kara Hajimaru Isekai Kyousoukyoku - This show is pretty much the same as Overlord. First episode was good.
Grancrest Senki - This show seems very familiar for some reason, but I can't place my finger on why. The first episode is good and really sets the story.
Kokkoku - I like the concept of the show. First two episodes were decent, but no idea if I'll follow it all the way.
Overlord II - Well, no shit. First season was tits, so this one hopefully doesn't suck.
Sora yori mo Tooi Basho - This has a "Made in Abyss" adventure style going for it, but it looks very upbeat. Everything is "cute", but I still really like the show.
Ramen Daisuki Koizumi-san - I watched it, and neither loved it nor hated it. Yet I want to see what happens next. This is my least favorite so far. May drop it, but time will tell.
Violet Evergarden - Very nicely animated. Something about the show has my attention, but I don't know what that is. I'll watch more.

Darling in the Franxx was awesome. Hot chick will rape you into being her partner? This can only end well. Art is pretty tight, too.

Since Netflix has it but isn't simulcasting it in the US, you can find it here: Asenshi Subs

Netflix is being really retarded on this one. They are simulcasting and even simuldubbing it in English/Spanish/French/German all over the world, except the fucking US.

Overlord 2 : Why should I fucking care about those lizard people? I mean, seriously, a whole fucking episode about lizardmen politics?

Darling in the Franxx is a straight up split of Gurren Lagan (isolated cities except this time above ground, and the two-pilot mech), Evangelion (mech is more similar in style to Eva than GL, the male MC is acting a little Shinji-ish, a lot about the organization they're in reminds me of NERV, and the bad guys are a bit off the wall kinda like the angels), and Kill la Kill (the uniforms they wear and the overall grandiose styling of the school or whatever it is, the transformation sequence for the mech, and the animation style in the action sequences). I can only hope it pulls the good parts from each and doesn't try to do too much.

Edit: God dammit @a_skeleton_03 you broke something when you changed the title picture again. I was in the middle of typing out a reply and it wouldn't let me submit it until I reloaded the thread... which is when I saw your post.

After how mediocre Kiznaiver was, it's nice to see Trigger getting back to what they're good at with Franxx. I doubt it will get as ridiculous as Gurren Lagan or Kill la Kill, but this looks like it will be fun.

It's not that Kiznaiver was bad, it's just that after Inferno Cop and Kill La Kill a lot of people had these weird expectations for what a "Trigger" anime is supposed to be.

Trigger experiments a lot, sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't. Just watch "Turning Girls" on the Anime Bancho channel on Youtube. That's also done by Trigger, where they basically rounded up the female staff (like, the cleaning lady) and let them shitpost an anime together:

Dude that show was dark right from EP1. I mean really child labour (orphans even!) put to work gathering artifacts in that crazy dangerous abyss so they can make a profit? That headmistress is evil incarnate. And that whole fucking town is messed up too, kids walking by 1000 foot chasms without a care? Vertically stacked desks?

Shit is fucked up right from the get-go.

So how dark it got didn't really surprise me, in fact, I was more surprised that she
actually didn't lose her limb.
