Why would you even want to do that? You would immediately end up with a very top heavy server if we are talking about importing lvls/aa/gear.

From what I am reading neither of the servers are going with IP restrictions. That kinda sucks. It almost seems like boxing is required on any EMU that isn't P1999.

If SOE ever decides to pursue any kind of classic server you can bet on P1999 and the emu community in general getting some C&D letters. Not saying a SOE sponsored classic server would necessarily work but P1999s player base really shouldn't be a concern since they are easily shut down.

They really need to do something about this. I read that going in and the starting lvls STILL killed the game for me during the beta weekend I played. This is from someone who buys/plays a lot of MMOs of questionable quality. If they have problems hooking me....they have problems.

Even when betas/alphas were completely free you always had people who didn't get an invite willing to pay for a key. It isn't like the perceived value materialized overnight. They just figured out how to capitalize on it.

It looks like this is all based on old world? If so that would make the lack of spectre pets make sense. Kunark lvl 60 pet was the first spec. Necro pets did kick and lifetap but they were still little more than a super efficient DoT. Not sure why you want them to be more than that.

I just wish it had a trial like EVE. It sounds cool but a lot of MMOs sound cool till you actually play them. Maybe they will have a good sale on steam when it launches. I wouldn't mind dropping $15 to try it out.

I don't think time based skill training and FTP is the greatest combination. I would imagine everyone still playing has 10 accounts. EDIT: apparently it isn't that bad. At least you have to buy the game and you train faster if you pay a sub. Game needs a trial. I would give it a shot.

I havent played it yet but, assuming its like live, set it to reactive and it will heal you early. Also, assuming mercs are as OP as I remember in old content I would just run a tank merc. He will slaughter everything.

Will check it out but if it is using the regular emu stuff encounters are going to be trivial.

Got the same coupon. Tempted to pick it up just to mess around with for a month or two. Probably won't touch the beta weekend stuff since, from what I have seen, it might make me less inclined to play release.
