What I was saying about alpha loot had to do with how a system will emerge among players for items like that. They can put in some way to make sure they are evenly distributed if they want but I don't see the point. It is just more hand holding. FFXI loot system wouldn't be bad either...

Alpha loot works pretty well with CB belts on p99. Not to mention stuff like that won't have much value at launch.

Is a LFG tool that much different from being able to type /who all 30 35 lfg? I really don't see the problem as long as it doesn't auto build a group for you and stick you together with randoms.

Not a big fan of P2W add-ons but I do see it as necessary at this point. He got me for $5 extra simply because I hate not being ahead of the masses leveling when a game is released. Not that this will be released. Just trying to stay somewhat hopeful at this point.

I think I would say FFXI is a solid third, maybe 2nd. If you ignore the absolutely terrible UI it is quite similar to EQ. The only argument for it not being a "successor" is that it came out about 3 years after EQ while EQ was still going strong. I know the trains of goblins at the zone line...
