He's pretty decent overall. He used to be a beast, though. His dps was insane, but partially due to a bug, and they nerfed his damage beyond fixing that bug, and nerfed his defensive abilities as well, never died once before that nerf. Still a decently powerful and fun hero.

Contrary to what you see on tv and in movies, swordfighting isn't actually about striking the other guy's sword repeatedly. And if you use a lighter/weaker weapon, your training usually includes how to block/parry in ways that won't leave you with a broken weapon.

It's hard to simulate all real world conditions in an mmo. It really needs to boil down to skill vs skill. You want castles to change hands, but not to make it too easy or too hard, because then people won't bother.
