I heard on one of the SW podcasts I listen to that each episode has a budget of 10 million. Does that even make sense? It looks fantastic though, there was another 5 minute scene shown at Celebration and the entire thing looked incredibly good...especially the IG droid rampaging with both guns out.

Dunno, I s aw it a second time on a slow work day and it was just as awesome. I found a few nitpicks this time where they strayed from the comics that I didn't think made a difference, but I guess that is what AMC A list is for. By the way, I hope you all have AMC A-list, its friggin awesome...

you're right, his role expanded to be in charge of pretty much any animated thing they do, but he is apparently director of one of the Mando episodes. Got my signals mixed there.

I'm pretty sure he's in charge of the Mandalorian isn't he? Filoni is certainly the bright star in the SW galaxy, I'd love to see him in charge of much more.

I think we need to reconsider the pervasive use of "campy" in defending this film. I don't think that is what the problem, or the defense, actually is. Kiddy, as you also used, is far more accurate. And that's not going to get asses in the seats long term.

I love those first 2 movies too, but Perlman had prosthetics all over his face including his jaw. In a few of the behind the scenes you could barely understand him behind all the work on his lower face. Anyways, I'm just glad we get more from this universe, and the new one does look fucking...

It had its moments, but it was pretty clear from early on where this was heading. Acting was, for the most part, pretty awesome.

Friend who inks for DC got to see it last night. Its still a lowish bar, but he said it is by far the best DC movie yet and he absolutely loved it. Apparently Levi kills it in this.

Second season has been solid so far. They made quite a few adjustments in between seasons and its better for it.

This movie really came together in the last 30 minutes, but it was like watching a fever dream. The first hour was almost like a runaway train with only the slightest direction. I remember the first being way more focused than this one. Also, first one was much much funnier throughout.

They'll be showing something at SW Celebration, which is before Endgame comes out. It's been fairly common knowledge the last 2 months that they wouldn't be showing anything until then.

Just finished it. Fantastic, even with the final episode being the weak link. I've heard there's tons of hidden things that you catch on rewatch knowing about Number 5's ability going into it. Definitely going to do a rewatch.

There was a whole scene in Thor3 where Hela wipes out the Valkyries that heavily implied that Tessa’s character was in a relationship with one of the other Valkyries. That wasn’t retconned in.

It was weird to me that they used book "The Dunwich Horror" when what I really think they were foreshadowing for was the race that was the one that attacked them on the fishing boat they stole, the really monsterous fish people, which to me was a direct nod to "The Shadow over Innsmouth"...

IMAX showing I just finished was totally sold out, but the entire theater complex was packed tonight. Fun movie, still clearly DC in tone and fighting style (always crazily over the top). That ending battle could have gotten terrible but they plunked down money for good CGI. Guess they learned...
