as a side note, my extended family (my sister, her husband, and her awesome 8 year old son/my nephew) went dressed as new Star Wars characters for Halloween. He was BB-8. We spent like 25+ hours doing modified paper mache over a balloon and painting it for his costume. Not sure how to break it...

There's actually 5 different BB-8's used in the movie. One of them is indeed remote controlled but for all of the close up things they are 1 of 4 puppet versions that allows them to have much more control over it.

I'm about as big a fan as anyone that I've met, and I would never say they are amazing. I just rewatched all of them in the last 2 weeks and at best, they are alright with really good moments in each of them. Not saying they are terrible, they just aren't amazing, not even in the same zip code...

Yep, seconded. Elfman is one of my all time faves, grew up on Oingo Boingo and his later works, but it would be ruinous for Star Wars. Zimmer could do it all sorts of justice without straying to the other side of the spectrum.

At this point I'm through most of the books, and about 3/4 of the comics. Lost Stars is definitely the best book I have read so far, seeing major events through Imperial eyes was pretty awesome. Aftermath was indeed a slog, it just wasn't good except for the interludes which gave the most hints...

Got tickets after trying for 30 minutes through Fandango, but I had driven to the theater to get them because nothing was loading. While waiting in line (they can't sell them until the trailer is over) I finally got Fandango mobile to load (not the app). Woo!

the editing and continuity in this episode seemed like a mess. edit - might have stated that too early, its kind of coming together edit 2 - Yah I was way off base, that episode was fucking gnarly. so awesome that none of the main characters were in it and so much carnage happened.
