I remember the first month of launch killing Kronus because of Chaos Volley. And btw, the Temple of Kronus area where you had to float up to the top was the most frustrating thing I think I've ever done in an MMO... it was so fucking broken.

On top of all the classics he was also really good as the villain in Insomnia and One Hour Photo.

I think virtually everyone who will play this emu will already know how to craft/diplo, plus there's intro quests in all starting areas. IoD killed all the low level dungeons, it should be removed.

First order of business should be to destroy the Isle of Dawn & Shores of Darkness chunks.

Dont listen to Phoenix, ED is fine. The only time the mods bring the hammer down is when a guild uses exploits on raid content. There's only 1 butthurt guild that rerolled on Rebirth.

ED still has a much higher pop than Rebirth. There was drama about one guild leaving because they were banned for exploiting raid mobs. ED is actually very healthy and I still play on it from time to time.

VG could have been a 'successful' niche game similar to LotrO or DDO but the game got significantly worse with each update when Silius took over.

The problem with VG was it could look like the best MMO in a certain area and then look extremely bland in another.

Baiting them to take rax so they could 5 man wipe them was ridiculous.

They said they have something like 80% of all the content grabbed, so they should have almost all of it by the time it shuts down. The best part about this emulator is they probably aren't going to implement the 50-55 update, or at least the way it was in the live version. No shitty SoD grinding.

I didnt' think Envy played bad at all, he usually gets caught out way more than he did. I think it was Pieliedie that made most of the mistakes, especially when he played silencer.

The trick to playing support is to pick high impact heroes in teamfights that benefit from items & that can farm decently. If you're really good at micro play Visage, if not then get someone like WD and rush an aghs. Wards in that MMR range also don't matter as much I think, if you ward river...

I think the most offensive thing about all this is that they may have discredited this type of MMO. Besides the original EQ, FFXI, and to a lesser extent VG... what other MMO is a group focused PvE game? I can't think of one. The only non WoW clones on the horizon are focused on PvP. Looks like...

It's "challenging" in a platformer kind of way where you avoid red circles and lasers. I played enough of Rift & FFXIV to be sick of this kind of design, it's lazy and doesn't take much strategy to beat. And yes, it is a WoW clone except they did the circle/laser thing x100.

If you're playing this dumb game for immersion then I don't know what to say. Wildstar took everything that was wrong with MMO's and upped it to the nth degree, there's no way it's going to keep people hooked for more than 3-4 months like every other WoW clone.
