You take into consideration all the complaints in this topic (GW2 and TOR) and you compare it to a game like LoL.... The LoL/Riot team balances countless champions and not just old ones but introduce new champions pretty often. To translate that into what MMO's are failing to do is focusing...

All this being said I believe we can all acknowledge why LoL is so successful. It's not a MMO I understand but how many games can actually offer a unique, good time and camaraderie day in and day out...? Someone in the MMO industry is going to have to step up and step up soon...

I don't know... I can see what he's saying. When he says "they're in that style", that's true. People can say what they want but EQ was pretty well the ground work for a bunch of people saying, "Wow, we can do that and even better AND make millions of dollars!" In my opinion, Blizzard has...

At least Smed doesn't seem ignorant. I like the nod to LoL. What they have done under the radar (somewhat) has been amazing. A year ago, you would not have seen any mainstream advertising or product placement/displays for LoL. Now look at them... I would hate to know just how much money they...

I somewhat disagree though I do see the point of the prequel statement and this movie not being "The Hobbit", sure it isn't as light hearted and it veers away from a true children's story but, I think it was a catch 22. Including all the extra elements to provide a clearer story I thought...

My son absolutely loved the graphic novel which is actually really good. He was 4 the first time I read it and still likes it now at 5. I am willing to bet we went through the spiders, wolves, and gollum no less than 20 times a piece.

I would still rather see either EQ (by SoE) true Classic and/or DAoC vanilla before this.... just my opinion.

I went to the midnight showing and I was pleasantly surprised how much I did like it.

I think Brad's problem is a lot of what happens to many actors and actresses (well anyone with one good idea) and that is he doesn't want to go down in history as a one-hit wonder or a one trick pony. However, some people make good livings and even go down in a lot of books for their single...

I would love to keep the 80's movies going as they have some of the best moments but I honor of The Hobbit opening this evening, i'm going with my favorite LoTR moment....

I love movies like this.... when work or school is stressful, maybe just life in general, just go to movies like this and enjoy the you know what out of them. I think it looks pretty good regardless. I can't see why it wouldn't be worth a matinee' price..?

EQ2 has been the most drastic roller coaster of any game I have played. I'm probably in the minority that played at the beginning and actually toughed it out for several years. It was pretty rock bottom in the beginning and then the PvP servers were a solid spike. Afterwards there was a lot of...

Agreed... this looks great.

Everyone see on Twitter where Smed announced they let the EQ and EQ2 teams see EQNext for the "first time"? Do we really need someone on the inside right now that could throw us some anonymous information. I would really just like to know how much is done...

We have one week of school left before I get about a month off and now that GW2 has some time under its belt, I was curious how you would compare the GW2 PvP experience to say, Rift's? Looking for a MMO to spend Christmas break goofing around on but, I've read great things regarding Rift's...

I think if I could ask for anything, I would want everything to impact everything else and the player base to rely on one another. (Especially in early game.) Player made items should be a primary source of gear leveling up with the exception of a nice piece of gear here and there...
