No advantages to paying other than storage space. There are other things that use "g" like costumes and cards but afaik no distinct advantage. I broke down and dropped 20$ for more storage. Otherwise, everything else can be earned through grinding.

I have it on steam and im using windows 7 on a desktop and it runs fine. I did have a pointer that was ... oddly shaped but it didnt prevent me from clicking items and/or combining them. I am not that far in though, so maybe its something later in the game?

I am still working on tol'vir (3/6) after weeks(months maybe) but got both (2/2) from the two new mop arch ... factions? whatever the class they're called is. I think it took (no joke) 30-40 solves for all 4 blues. That might seem like a lot but you get 6-9 fragments per dig with 6 dig ups...
