The meat drop rate on boars is something like 2^(level-1) +/- something for randomness. So if someone spawned a level 8 boar, that is already ~128 meat dropping from 1 kill and a lvl 10 boar dropping 500+ meat.

It doesn't even require alternate servers to do things like that. Mods in this game (eg a 100x drop rate in this case) are done client side and work against a 100% vanilla server. Or like a mod that lets you plant resources you normally can't plant can be done with client side mods.

Towers are nice even as enhanced storage locations. You can open a tower from anywhere on the planet and take stuff out instantly to your inventory by CTRL-right clicking the resource and sliding the amount you want to take out.

It was never explicitly called out but I like how you can bulk move the entire contents of a storage bin even if you don't have room for it in your inventory. You can even CTRL click all the content and walk across the planet and drop the stack in another bin.

It does and you need a controller for each player (can't do KB/Mouse + 1 controller) It's not splitscreen and if a non leader is off the screen it teleports them to the leader. So that's probably a plus to help the kid keep up :)

I know you can change the right side of the screen, I'm talking about the huge image of gear on top of the characters when setting up your board and lack of overlays on your lineup. You can't at a glance see how things are setup.

So you can't even see what a units special is when purchasing them? Also seeing gear as an overlay is such a waste vs showing their race/class as an overlay. Definitely not friendly to new players unlike Auto Chess Mobile for learning characters/synergies.
