    Fortnite - Epic Games - Team Survival/Strategy/Crafting/Combat

Me too. I have been following this one for a while as a replacement for Borderlands 2 as shoot and loot game for my friends and I. Most of the press/ indicators have been good for it, though it apparently has a bit of a learning curve due to high(ish) complexity of the building. Really...

Recommend a game for me thread

Another vote for Witcher 3. Divinity Original Sin (the new one comes out soon and is also amazing), X-Com 2, Darkest Dungeon, Everspace. Can't go wrong with any of them and all of them are long enough you won't feel ripped off even if you don't get them on steam sale.

    Darkest Dungeon

I haven't gotten a lot of play out of the Jester. I like their mobility a lot, I just haven't had a lot last through veteran to try them out at the higher end. Definitely like the comp you suggested though, Arbalest/Jester/Robber/Master must just pour out the dps though it is a little stun...

    Darkest Dungeon

Exactly this. There are a ton of comps that work fantastic but most of the best ones aren't built around the notion of tanking / healing / dps but rather on how the classes interact with each other. As an example, double occultist / bounty hunter / grave robber works exceptionally well with...

    E3 2017

Definitely. I am always looking for good co-op play options -- there aren't a lot of really good ones around. My friends and I probably put in 300-500 hours a piece into Borderlands 2 before calling it quits.. we haven't found anything remotely that satisfying to play as a group since...

    Pan'Theon: Rise' of th'e Fal'Len - #1 Thread in MMO

Two words: Gated Content Bring on those sweet sweet 4000+ man hour key camps to get your raid into Ssra2.0! In seriousness though, if they aren't doing instances gearing up becomes far less trivial so that buys them a lot of time until they need to deal with second and third generation raids...

    Crowfall

Been playing around with this a bit, it seems much improved from the few times I have tried in previous patches. They really need to get keybinding in there though before I give it a more serious try, wasd with numbers as powers make it so you pretty much are forced to use songs or non-critical...

Star Citizen Online - The search for more money

I have lost even this level of optimism at this point. It is truly amazing that all anyone wanted when this started out was a modernized Freelancer --and here we are 3 years and milllions upon millions of dollar later all we have seen is a handful of shitty buggy modules, none of which remotely...

I am sure a lot of this is awareness too. I had no idea what zone zem was nor the impact it had untill very late back in classic. I knew the zones that had the gear I wanted so I would frequent those or hit the zones with good mob density. Fast forward to the p99 crowd and most of them...

I am not a huge fan of full gear resets either, but the EQ approach was much better than most games since. By comparison, I literally replaced my entire WoW vanilla raid set with greens by the end of the first zone and a half of TBC (and it got way worse from there) -- that is a full reset...

Given how true they are staying to the original EQ classes so far, smart money would be on B given that was how it was through PoP. You could twink above your level obviously (level 10 with T-staff etc), but until the economy settles, my money is on hands being dps, weapons for stats or damage...

Totally agree with this. I am truly impressed they have made it as far as they have with the mess they started with, but it seriously looks promising now. The real challenge for them now is going to be sticking to their vision, while selectively responding to the inputs and criticisms of their...

Wow vanilla had a lot of buggy shit as well, no question. For me it was more about the game play / mechanics. I know lots of people liked multiboxing because of the simplicity of some of the EQ classes, but it definitely did not appeal to me. I am not saying class design was better in WoW...

Definitely. Eq was great for the open world, the pace of leveling, the challenge/ difficulty level, nuances like different factions actually mattering rather than just being another grind, but the actual gameplay in WoW was much more engaging and enjoyable. Give me the best of both those...

Game is definitely good. It is pretty much controller required. I play mouse and keyboard for everything even remotely possible, but for this I had to plug in my PS4 controller. That said, really enjoying it. Love the story, love the premise and I really love the difficulty.. nice to have an...

Mass Effect: Andromeda - Autism reaches outer space

I totally agree with this. If this was an indie studio or not billed as a Triple-A sequel to an iconic franchise, or it was a $20 steam deal, I would probably not be terribly disappointed with it.. but because it is Bioware and because of the hype, and because they are charging the premium...

Well, I have put in a few hours on it now via Origin pre-access and it isn't all bad... but it sure as hell isn't great either. The xp loss never bothered me much, it was the price for screwing up and getting myself killed. The naked run to my corpse was always the miserable part for me -- especially on my non-casters who would often be bound 2+zones away. The limited binding for non-casters was just insult to injury...

Hex: Shards of Fate TCG - Set 7: Frostheart 6/29/17

It is fun, no question. But for arena you are much better off making a faster deck (budget robots come to mind) as you can grind out much faster gold with a blitz deck that way. Obviously, play what you like, that is the most important, but from an efficiency standpoint if you are looking to...
