I think so too. Has anyone ever lost money on betting how fast people can level up in an MMO? I think two weeks for the hardcore and a month for your typical MMO content eater like myself.

Was part of what they nerfed the AOE groups in the VR range? Someone sent me a PM on reddit today saying that was the real reason for the exp nerfs. People were powering though the VR levels in a day or two with aoe groups.

It might be that I have had glass of wine. (also maybe I had Harvard over Cincy... I'm not saying... just maybe I am gonna win a BEEEELION DOLLAHS!!!) It sounds much funnier in my head when I read it. Think preacher with a Boston accent. Point stands. He doesn't really think they are...

30 days. The crunch in GW2 and in SWOTOR took fricking 30 days. A huge chunk of the population woke up at max level in both games at that point and said... hey WTF PvE endgame is not in!

Shall we bet on that? Shall we engage in a WAYYYYGAH regarding the chances of that horsepoop you just shat out as truth actually occuring? SHALL WE GAMBLE ON IT? Oh perhaps not... then perhaps purveying a company line that you KNOW taint NE'ER GONNA happen is DIS EN FUCKING GENUOUS.

PvP was fun with PRX the weekend of Beta. As pissed as I am at the bait and switch of telling us about Adventure zones and then, 10 days prior to release, saying oops they are not in, I still think it's going to be worth it for the PvP fun.

    The Elder Scrolls Online

Firor slipped in a doozy today: They failed to finish adventure zones and there will be none in for launch. ZOS_MattF comments on Welcome to the ESO AMA! I have a perverse fondness for when people do this sort of.. "oh wait were you expecting that to be in for release" bullshit drop. It...

I could live without the log.. i cannot live without that idiot UI being modded to the hilt. It's especially bad for healers.
  13. D

    The Elder Scrolls Online

Hahah that made me laugh. This game has the single worst UI in the history of MMOs. It was only redeemed by the fact that it had a fairly open API and some great developers.

    The Elder Scrolls Online

Well, I hope the great modding community that had been developing around this game doesn't get too frustrated and ditch it. i can't make mods but I almost always benefit from them.

    The Elder Scrolls Online

I'm not sure what they changed. Did they make it so I cannot put a buff bar of my own buffs on the screen? Can I no longer target another playr to see his buffs to know if a debuff is worth while? If I am healing can I no longer see HoTs and debuffs in the group/raid menu thingy? You gotta...

If the bottom line is that the story sucked then you will not get an argument from me.. I hated almost all of the main storylines except the joining the circus one.

Hehehe yeah I saw that. The fanbois on reddit have already adopted that as a part of their holy scripture.

Annnnnd they nerfed farming mobs in public dungeons... bummer... that was just about my favorite thing.

You didn't play a lot of GW2. It's a fundamental principle that ou can level to 80 crafting. If you were powering up you would craft. You can level to 80 in a few hours. Next fastest would probably zerging in WvW.

    The Elder Scrolls Online

Did you wander around looking at the changes in each time period and talking to people to get all the background? The background of that quest and the way they play with the timeline to reveal the story is like NOTHING in WoW. Seriously find me one quest in the history of WoW that has that...

Siege warfare seems a bit better. It seems a smidge less zergy because of supply lines. Stealth and stealth detection make small group combat more fun. It has group roles so squad tactices seem better.

Or the Cairo train one or the Little girl kidnapped one or monster hunters or the amusement park or the one with lady with the awesome boston accent in the first zone.... edit oh or the one about controlling hell...but that one you need to level a long way up. edit2 or the university...

Didn't DOAC have problems with their giant RealmvRealm zones once populations got eaten by WoW?

    The Elder Scrolls Online

Oooh no. GW2's event systems were complex and often had interesting fail states and chained various events together. Anchors are just Rifts and they don't seem to be working all that well either. I feel like you just compared the Maserati of dynamic leveling design to a donkey wagon full of crap.

    The Elder Scrolls Online

I have over 1800 hours in GW2. I am level 44 in fractals in a full suit of ascended, completely decked with one legendary and 2/3 of the way to a second. The open world leveling PvE in GW2 is great. Absolutely no doubt. The post 80 PvE is some of the worst in gaming. The dungeons...

    The Elder Scrolls Online

I like the PvE. There I said it. I like farming blue items off of world mobs. It looks like there is AOE grouping at high level which is always fun. I played a bunch of interesting stories in the low levels. There was at least one open dungeon I ran into that was too hard to solo. Grouping...

You say that like it's a bad thing. The creativity and genius of a million people is generally better than the creativity and genius of just a handful...as long as there is a good way for the cream to rise to the top. I am neither a game designer in a company nor a tinkerer making mods but I...

    The Elder Scrolls Online

I like MMOs and prefer action combat so I'd step up and say I liked the combat. It's certainly not as good as GW2 which I play a lot. However, they have made some improvements and it's not as bad as it was. It's a lot better than WoW or any non action game. The animations of spells is pretty...

They are awesome fun with a good PvP group and they matter. 1. This game is not finished. No MMOs are finished at release but this one is one of the least finished games to be released in the past few years. 2. Nonetheless its a fun game as long as you have patience. Many of the quests are good stories. The character building is fun. The world is...

Yeah what the heck was that... I just ran a Coldharbor newbie to see how much they fixed in there (they made it shorter and the boss fight has better intro). My mage got plate and a whip. Yes folks, exiting the newbie area with a weapon I could not use, armor that was not quite right, candle...

    The Elder Scrolls Online

It's honestly not a big deal because you really can get your weapon of choice within a couple of hours tops but it makes no sense at all. Did they ever give any justification? All of Coldharbor is a travesty. Horrible game introduction.

Hey I fixed my login timeout problem. I had to reset my router and then take off the built in firewall (just unclicking the firewall in the router setup screen was not enough). The patcher then found some files to update. It let me put the firewall back on afterwards but man that was a pain...

    Yeah, fucking sensational patch.
  39. D

    The Elder Scrolls Online

Welp, reinstalled and still getting a login timeout error. Might be a bad one. I see some people on the beta boards have it and no one knows how to fix it. It goes without saying that Zenimax has not posted on the issue.
