My problem with the art is that some stuff looks sort of realistic and others look way too Looney tunes. Which causes stuff to look disjointed. Also, some areas have objects that seem thrown in randomly and don't match the terrain very well. But I'm guessing that's just cause it's beta screenshots.

Did they improve the game significantly in Open Beta? or is it the same? Anyone that can summarize the improvements?

I believe you simply drive to a new "hub" (typically marked by grey shopping cart icons, or what ever it is). It should automatically give you the flight path... Not sure that it's link to story. Also if you don't like the atv, or the Dodge, look all the way south along the coast line...
