I don't think atlasloot is needed anymore with the dungeon journal. The rest are pretty good though, especially master plan. Garrison is an unworkable slog w/o MP.

Tanking the ranged groups isn't so bad on a powertech. On a jugger, though, it's awful. Never did any shadow tanking.

Everything 50+ requires HW basically. Lots of 2.x story to catch up on though if you left with the relic patch -- but the 1.x relics aren't built upon so it's basically just leveling and continuing the MSQ. Not hard at all to get caught up. You'd be behind on...esoteric? tomes, but the...

Yep. Especially late kunark+, the experience of a higher level druid was so vastly different from a higher level cleric. I could basically go anywhere and do anything when I logged on my cleric -- and we had more than a few druids quit because they couldn't get anything going outside of raid...

This is pretty close. Ramp engage but lost their tanks at around 50%. They camped (AoW doesn't have an aoe other than ramp so he takes forever to actually finish a large raid) and the other guilds who were looking for a 10-20% scoop on AOW jumped in. They tried to kill, run, etc. but couldn't...

It'll be a sad day if the EQ Landmark creations never make it to EQN. It honestly seems like the only way to get enough content in any type of game of high quality. Player creation with owner approval, that is. Dynamically generated games end up so horribly stale and samey very fast.

If this game crashes and burns it takes kickstarter with it, and maybe all other gaming related crowdfunding. Which is a tragedy because D:OS and Pillars of Eternity were pretty goddamn good. Especially pillars. Wasteland also alright.

Takes all of 1 or 2 days to PL a char to 46. All this did was make lowbie groups even worse.

Eh, if you've got a necro or conj carrying the dps, 2 healer can actually be pretty nice for larger aoe groups once tanks get a few more blue aoes. Just as long as they're different types of healer :3

Yep. Solo in EQ2 (outside of being a conj / nec / sk god) is that thing you do until you can group around 14-ish. Getting the grandmaster group hot / ward / reactive makes healing wc/bb much easier. Duo is also pretty decent experience if you're a healer grouped with said god-tier classes :P

Are we still talking EQ1 here? Why would gorenaire have a mana drain? I've heard they've changed up some of the bosses on these progression servers to keep them interesting.

ED, Nost, Chrono, Reborn...uhhh, several others. Most have been fairly decent too. It's really only worth going back once, MC / BWL are dull af and most of them seem to peter out before AQ is in.

Dunno, my rotations in ffxiv are always pretty in depth while the encounters keep being varied enough. It's mostly just dealing with an ass of cooldowns and off the gcd abilities while keeping your gcd skills firing in the right order. This is made more difficult by how clunky hitting off the...
