Unless it is your first class, that seems like a super tedious way to craft. Should be able to grab just regular non-HQ stuff and make a HQ final product on most attempts. This gets super trivial once you have carpenter to 50.

lots of burn, so creatures die easy. Also any strategy which is dependent on synergy (rather than benefiting from it) tends to not perform consistently enough in standard since there isn't much hand sculpting available.

Still enjoying myself. Lost steam leveling my main class in the 40s.. would love to pay 500k gil and instantly be 50 or something, but enjoying the game. Will focus on leveling main battleclass instead of tinkering with crafting eventually.
