    Hearthstone

Nozdormu wouldn't be a bad card to add something like "at the end of your turn a card in your opponent's deck is destroyed". Even keeps the same 'time is running out' theme of the card over the gimmick they have now.

    Hearthstone

Love Priest for screwing around. My douche-ist play: stole Rag with a mind games early in the game, played it turn 8. They wasted all their mana killing it. Mind games it again on turn 9 and played it again. Instant concede.

    Hearthstone

Lower levels you pretty much start a deck with all the good neutrals (ssc, did, yeti, etc) then add 8-10 flavor cards from the class. Outside of mage, at least, which is why a lot of people play it when they start out. Some classes you really need a ton of their rares and epics for them to shine.

Well shit, Chapter 1 revolves around boat travel and a kinda-turtle, this can't be a good omen.

    Hearthstone

Who said it wasn't fun? It was fun, it was just gimped playing the same cards for every class. More cards = more toys = more fun. I don't feel ripped off, I just think they should up the gold payout so it's not such a high threshold. And I'm kind of shocked you're shocked about $100. Trust...

    Hearthstone

Yeah, I'm much more looking forward to what the game is going to be than what it is now. Different playmodes (classless? double life, double deck size? raid mode?), all the classes having secrets, all the classes having weapons, legendary spells, etc. This of course all depends on Blizzard...

GoT - Is Over, Post Your Drogon Sightings

They'll probably have to do like 80% of 4+5 in one season, have the finale be drogon flying off with Dany + Cersei getting arrested + Griff landing in Westeros or something like that. Then finish off the rest of it + new stuff in season 6. If they go purely chronological without Martin's...

Prologue and two chapters for anyone interested:http://www.tor.com/stories/2014/01/e...er-one-and-two Bit worried about this one, Sanderson usually has a drop off from book 1 to book 2, we'll see if he breaks the trend.

A Song of Ice and Fire (Released Spoilers)

I think it's a colossal failure of editing more than anything else. It needed tightened up on what was there and it needed 200 more pages to provide a climax to the Winterfell and Meereen incoming battles. There was also some serious overuse of character motifs going on.

Probably a novelette. Amazon's page estimator assumes 350ish words as a page, so about 12k. Short Story = up to 7500 words. Novelette = 7500 to 17500 words. Novella = 17500 to 40000 words.

    Scott Lynch (Gentlemen Bastards)

Waiting sucks but all the theory crafting and expectation is tons of fun. It also builds community in the fanbase, I had tons of fun on the old wotmania site as a teenager discovering the internet. I think what I miss most as I get older is actually that joy I had as a teenager of finding all...

Just published "Griefing", the post-FM3 School novella a week early, since it was doing nothing but collecting dust on my hard drive. If you read only one of the shorts then read this one, A) it's the longest B) it has the most important information in it C) it's in King Henry's POV...

    Amazing Spider-Man 2

Such teen angst... The "problem" with the effects is it looks like a real person in a suit instead of full on CGI in some shots and then half finished CGI in other shots.
  32. Nebuchadnezzar

    Strategery games.

Crusader Kings 2 takes a couple blind playthroughs to "get" I'd say. The first playthrough you'll think you're doing okay and then your first king will die off and...shit hits the fan.

The King Henry Tapes (By Me!)

Not sure if the studios are very interested in books that have only sold a few thousand copies and that would make the MPAA throw down a NC-17 in the first few pages. Fun to dream though...what actors/actresses would you lot want to play the characters?
