ER is lacking in boss music, cut scenes and casual replayability imo. The other things are genre defining yes. The ambient music is the best I've ever heard but other than the main theme, generic orchestral is good for it's purpose but I'm not humming this stuff IRL. Casual replayability, yes...

Yeah you can either shoot a bird who runs at you and off a cliff for like 8k runes then reload, or kill the enemies there for 1k runes each. I think it's better for sanity to just kill the enemies. However DLC may have better rune farms, like the shadow zombie people in the first little town...

A lot of these bosses seem to have an anti summon fuck you attack at the start. That boss isn't even that bad, the bosses in the Shadow Keep are far far worse. I'm not skilled enough in this genre to not need a summon to grab aggro and create an attack window generally.
