Yeah, I always assumed this was the intended way to use the relic... shield your fireteam from enemy fire while still being able to damage your enemies for a (very) limited amount of time. I believe this behavior is exactly why many people prefer to go to that middle platform while Time's...

Correct -- I believe *some* weapons can go through the relic bubble but I'm honestly not sure if you need penetrating ammo perks or heavy weapons to do so.

I like it! But I think I would prefer they just fix the bugs with his encounter so it isn't as likely to randomly wipe and it then becomes easier to just fight him legit.

Sounds like we'd have enough to tear through the normal-mode raid pretty quickly. Let's get it done! Since Bandwagon has the Oracles HM checkpoint, the hard-mode raid could be done in 20-30 minutes -- longer if the plan is to try and take on Gatekeeper too (?).

Yeah at least we were able to transfer the checkpoint first. FYI -- PS4 firmware update 2.0 appears to be having issues with PSN, so shortly after transferring the checkpoint I got booted and haven't been able to get back in. I saw some speculation suggesting that some of the new features...

I wouldn't be too surprised if we dont' see the Atheon patch go live tomorrow, but I'll be trying to save the Atheon HM checkpoint tonight and cheesing him ASAP just in case.

You should be fine at 27 as long as the PUG isn't terrible. Definitely helps if you have leveled-up raid weapons already, though. I actually did my first VOG normal run on my alt last week @ 27 with a PUG (from lfg.com) and we cleared normal-mode in about 90 minutes. All shards/energy.

Nice! I'm really close to unlocking oracle bonus dmg on the raid sniper rifle, so I'll try that out on the oracles and see if it does any better than Ice Breaker.

Awesome... I knew there was a way to get line-of-sight on all of the oracles from up there, but hadn't figured out exactly where yet. I'm down to give this a try tonight if we can get enough of us together.

FYI, I'm planning on keeping the Atheon HM checkpoint on my alt throughout the week. If the Atheon patch doesn't get rolled out prior to the weekly reset, I will try to keep it through the weekly reset as well.

Bandwagon: I should be on in 90 minutes or so. If you're still on I can hold the checkpoint on my alt for LostVirtue +others and then switch to my main to help you down him.

I think so at least. Seems like the +marks is static but the +rep is definitely variable, but I honestly haven't done enough PVP to take note of how the +rep calculations are possibly being made.

As far as I know you should be fine just waiting for the doomed in-progress match to finish. I think you would just get fewer +rep points out of it?

By the way, how did you hold the checkpoint Spronk? Did you just stay in VoG as the reset happened? I wasn't sure if that would work but considered trying it... I would have liked to have received the helm on my hunter alt, but I guess I'll just stick with the exotic in that slot and stay...

Correct, he can still be cheesed -- the patch hasn't gone live yet, but probably will in the next few hours. I actually got two mythoclasts this morning... one on my main and then when Fourth and I did it again on our alts we both received mythoclasts at the same time.

Unfortunately yes -- you need Crucible marks from PVP.
